Lovely product but not for me.....
If you are familiar with weighted blankets, then I highly recommend this one. It is beautiful, high quality, soft, warm, and very weighted! This was first foray into using a weighted blanket and unfortunately, it was just too much weight and warmth for me (I would recommend newbies try the 10lb, I got the 12lb) and it was just too heavy. It was also much warmed than I expected. But mainly, it did not solve my restless sleep and I was actually sore because I was moving and shifting under this very heavy blanket- like a workout! I would NOT gift unless you knew people used and liked weighted blankets. Again, blame it on me and not the product- will have to look else where to solve my sleep issues. I consistently wake at 3ish and can't go back to sleep. I could tell I was still moving around, or trying to! ... show more

What a difference!
Purchased for my husband, says it’s made such a difference in how deeply he sleeps and how long he sleeps. This very much improved sleeping cycle has greatly improved his overall wellbeing. He’d been in a terrible motorcycle accident 8 years ago, which has left him with both all over bodily pain and severe anxiety. I love my weighted blanket!
This is my first weighted blanket. Friends have been telling me to get one for years because I deal with anxiety and often have trouble sleeping. I hesitated getting one because I thought using a weighted blanket would exacerbate my symptoms. I thought it would be harder for me to sleep. I imagined I would feel trapped under the weight. To my astonishment, the opposite is true. I took the blanket out as soon as I got it and laid it across me to test it out. I went from feeling fine and having a decent amount of energy to feeling relaxed and slightly sleepy almost instantly. I was very impressed. I used it to sleep that first night and haven't gone without it since. I become very relaxed when I pull it up over me and feel the weight across my body. It is much easier for me to sleep now and that is a wonderful feeling. And when I experience anxiety or have panic attacks the blanket is one of the first things I reach for if I am able. I highly recommend anyone who experiences anxiety or has trouble sleeping to give a weighted blanket a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. ... show more

5'4 and blanket can cover toes to shoulder
This product is great and feels amazing with the additional weight. I did not believe the hype surrounding weighted blankets until I finally invested in one and never sleep without it. The blanket is 10 lbs which is a little on the lower side for weighted blankets. However, it's important to note that based on the individual's weight the weight of the blanket changes for what is recommended. I am 5'4 and 125 Ibs. The blanket doesn't exactly cover my whole body but it can easily cover from toes to neck when in the long direction. My cat loves the white fluffy inside for kneading. The white side can get hot especially with the additional weight but luckily the other side which is a soft velvet-like material is less warm and works great. ... show more

Warm, soft, comfortable, and just the right weight
This was a gift and shipping was really quick. Both sides are very soft (fleece and fabric side). It had a bit of a chemical odor initially that went away after airing it out (think like new carpet-type VOCs). The beads inside are not really audible under normal use but can hear them a little if you hold the blanket vertical or make other large moves. The tag says that it's machine washable (cold, delicate, separate) but we haven't tried yet, so can't speak to its durability. Very warm and a perfect weight and manageable size for an individual as a personal blanket. So far it has been a great product and gets carried around everywhere! ... show more

Without question the softest blanket ever
Seriously. Like a baby’s toy it’s that soft and fluffy but obviously not light. I research a long time before purchasing a weighted blanket. Couple things I learned is you should get one that’s 10% around your body weight and to look for small squares or pockets where they sew in the beads so don’t shift around as much. This ones perfect! I purchased the beige one. It’s a neutral beige not pinkish or very yellow. It is not taupe. I share a king size bed with someone who sleeps hot so I use this just on my side. I also have those occasion hot minutes ;) so sometimes it ends up in the middle or the end of the bed for a few minutes with one leg kicked out until my temperature adjusts. Not that it’s that hot, it’s not really but I sleep with mine and it’s over a down comforter as well! Using alone for a nap, I found it to be perfect. This blanket is maximally warm and soft. It is also heavy. Buyers should be cautious and research before purchasing this item. Discover the best blanket weight for yourself according to this manufacturer's body weight index. Their advice is correct. The key point regarding the manufacturing of this blanket is that its weight does not shift to the side. This is a tremendous point of quality. I have not yet cleaned it, so I have nothing to report. It cannot be sent through a standard clothes washer, so it must be cleaned by hand. This is the only downside, and it is a minor matter if you understand this before you buy it.
