A bit expensive, for what it is. It's sheet metal rolled into a pipe, with a metal rod welded on at one end so it doesn't justify the price. This was one of the least expensive so it does the trick. I had to cut about half it off so it would not be obstructed by the pulleys. I am only using it to add 5 lb plates in between the 10 lb increments my machine has so I don't have to worry about it bending or breaking from overloading. After the modification, the fit is good and I'm sure it will last a long time.

Not very strong. I put 20 lbs on it to supplement the weight stack, and the weight caused the pin to bend. This would probably break if much more weight is used. Also, the spring collar is very weak. Many times while lifting I’ve had the weight plates fall off the pin and land on my feet. You get what you pay for; spend a bit more and get a better quality product

You're better off getting a name brand Gym Pin. This extender doesn't last, the pin gets bent, lasted me about 18 months.

The AHTAPFON weight stack pin does exactly what I expected it to do. It increased the functionality of my (budget friendly) Centr 2 functional trainer by easily allowing me to add my own Olympic plates to the stack. As anybody who has ever used a weight-stack-loaded machine knows, there are ways to jury-rig plates to the stack. But for about 25 bucks, just buy the AHTAPFON product (10 mm pin diameter, 110 mm length worked well for me)…you can be sure that your plate/plates won’t fall off mid-rep. Mike

This thing is perfect if the pin loaded machines at your gym don't have enough weight. My gym has light stacks on their machines and I use this thing every leg day for accessories and it has held up for going on a year with no bending. One thing to note is that the pin is too big to work with a Freemotion machine.
