When I ordered this, I wasn't sure what to expect. I somewhat anticipated some cheap, made in China, comes in a brown OEM type box with some sketchy poorly translated instructions. I was overly impressed once I opened the packaging. Yes, there was a plain outer brown cardboard box but inside was a well presented piece of equipment. Everything is nicely packaged and appears to be of quality. The app can be a little confusing and it's somewhat clunky. I couldn't simply search for shoulder exercises for example. Also at one point I was stuck watching a video and couldn't back out of the app. I had to force close the app to get back to navigating the workouts. The adjustments of the bands are not as smooth and easy as they portray. Or at least one of mine would bunch up a little and make it difficult to adjust. I also find the adjustment portions and sensor portions get in the way while stretching. The concept is interesting and I'm sure it will be helpful for some people but I'm not sure they are for me. I'd rather just do my resistance band workout and manually enter my reps and resistance level instead of dealing with the extra contraptions on my bands. I give 4 stars though since they are of nice quality and although the app needs some work, there is a lot of content it appears. Sometimes it's just hard to find what you want. ... show more

    • It was good, but could be better
It's a fairly expensive set of resistance bands. Granted, they are a lot more refined than simple rubber bands you can buy but for this price I expect a few wrinkles to be ironed out. - first, the literal wrinkles that form in the fabric covering of the ropes when you adjust the sliders - second, the software was a bit finicky when I was first setting up. Afterwards it wasn't too bad to use, and I could do many different types of workout as directed by the app so it was good in the end. It's a great option if you don't have a gym and don't feel comfortable working out in a gym. I still prefer going to a gym over this though. ... show more

The resistance bands arrived, well packaged, on time and defect free. Being a technology based exercise nut, I couldn't resist these resistance bands. The total package includes the two resistance bands, handles, cuffs, attachment straps and a charging cable for the two bands. Step 1, after initial charging, is downloading the app, and pairing the two bands to the app. The two bands function in a similar manner, with one band having a display, while the other band has a flashing light indicating status. Each band has a slide adjustment which controls effort, similar to an assortment of individual bands with different ratings. The difference here is that you have variable adjustment, so by keeping the two bands at identical lengths, you should have equal settings. When using the bands, the app on your smart phone, and the display on the band provide you with information relating to time, effort, calories burned, etc. The app also provides exercise routines with the ability to save workouts, as well as target different muscle groups. All of the components fit in a provided carry bag. Overall, the bands work as advertised, and provide a unique approach to low tech elastic bands. The infinite adjustment for effort provides an easy way to incrementally move up or down in effort, with the display showing the effort of the setting. The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice resistance band set. The quality is amazing, the associated app is very helpful, and the accessories are excellent. The app shows you all the different exercises one could do with the bands. Including numerous warm ups prior to getting into it. The screen is touch screen and swipes to reveal different options. I would say this is about a beginners to intermediate set. Will you build muscle? I would say it's possible but nothing extreme. Definitely great for toning. I'm sure about 3 months of the workout within the app would show some great signs of toning. It also come with a door anchor and a type of pole anchor you can use to attach to a post. Make sure it's sturdy. The measuring of the resistance displayed on the screen is absolutely great. I'm not sure how accurate it is but it's awesome to know. The app will track your workouts once it pairs with the bands. It keeps a nice record of exercise duration, calories burned etc. The only problem I have with this set up is the bulky slider used to increase and decrease tension. It could have been more stream line and instead of a plastic outer shell, a rubberized coating would have been a better option. ... show more
