Product is a great deal in my opinion. Very powerful unit after retuning carb on 9th tank of fuel. Upon assembly I decided to put a Dowel inside the handle bars for more support and internal strength. Pull handle broke first pull I replaced it with a much better one. Fires right up! Blades could be made of better quality for higher durability, but they tore through thick tough stands of grass and small brush with ease especially after retuning the carb. I didn’t care for the strap so I replaced it with something more comfortable. Overall though it’s a great deal for the $. I can’t speak to the long term longevity yet as I’m only on my 10th tank of fuel but so far I’m extremely impressed! I am definitely going to order more of the 3 fin blades they cut tall grass so well. I would definitely buy it again at this point.

Mechanically string trimmer is excellent. Between seasons, or long periods of none use, trimmer should be winterized with dry gas. It started for me on the 1st pull in spring. However, I'm having trouble restringing the spool. The spool isn't like normal string trimmers. On mine, the sheld doesn't have a section to cut the excess. This creates a problem. Also I can't get the spool to advance the string. Poorly designed.

UPDATE FOLLOWS MY REVIEW: Engine quit five minutes into the second tank of fuel. Spark plug positive electrode broke internally. Replaced plug with the spare and couldn't start it. Choke floods it. I cooked oil and gas off the plug with a torch and put it back in hot. DID NOT USE CHOKE, and it started and ran fine for half a tank, then backfired a couple of times and quit. It restarted easily and ran a few more minutes. Rinse and repeat. It finally quit and would not restart. I was too tired and disgusted to mess with it, so I came inside to write this review. Most 2-stroke engines these days run 50:1 mix. This oddball should have the fuel/oil ration in BOLD TYPE on the first page of the manual, not on page 11. Machine is not returnable. Glad I bought the protection plan, something I seldom do. UPDATE: The seller refunded $35 after I sent a video of me trying to start the engine. I took the machine to a small-engine mechanic. He said the spark plug (the spare that came with the machine) was bad and replaced it. That's all it needed. Machine started easily and ran fine, except the brand new, never used string drum flew apart. We couldn't find the spring and one of the line guides. I took it home and put the spare string drum on and went to work on tall grass, weeds, and creepers around the house. The engine has more power than needed for such work and cuts well at half throttle or less. That is, it did until the spare string drum came apart. The thing snaps together, and the plastic tabs are not strong enough. I used a metal detector to find the spring and used parts from the first one to reassemble a complete drum. I don't know how long it will last, so I'm looking for better ones. The machine itself, aside from lousy spark plugs, is excellent. If you buy one, the first thing to do is throw away the off-brand spark plugs and buy good ones.

LOVE THIS BEAST! After buying a property that was let go for years in the country, this unit made short work of getting the weeds and thick vines cut down. If you have a hard time starting it cold, after priming, put choke on full as in the instructions. Pull the cord 3 times then open the choke and pull again. Works every time. The shoulder strap makes it easy to use for long periods of time. Never get a bad gas mix with the mixing bottle that is included. 2 spools that are pre-strung, and the blades for heavier brush, included. Extra spark plug, extra pull cord and all the tools you need to assemble the unit are included. Don’t think I’ll ever need to buy another trimmer after this.

The 58CC Weed Wacker Brush Cutter works great power is more then what I need for around the house I bought an 10" x 80T Carbide Tip Blade and cut threw a 2.5 inch oak tree like it was a small weed! little heavy till you put on the shoulder strap then it evens out and does not feel heavy would definitely buy again

My husband is very mechanical but had trouble assembling the machine. He finally watched the video and was able to get it together. The machine started easily but the clutch would not engage. He checked repeatedlythe shaft and the blade assembly. finally he read a review about the potential problems with the clutch. So he took the shaft off and used a large screwdriver to open each side of the clutch to ensure that it was not stuck. After putting it all back together, it engaged and he was able to use it. We have a large back yard and it is very strong and powerful.

The media could not be loaded. After hours upon hours of attempting to get it to start we were not successful. The instructions aren’t the clearest and the translation is clearly off. The switch is on, the choke is up (by the instructions mean it’s closed). It’s primed and should just start. We switched the chock to what the instructions say as opened and played with it every possible way and no luck. Know I’m fairly handy and have built and rebuilt weed wackers and yes I know I should of got a stihl but thought this one had good reviews so should work oh boy was I wrong! Edit to add got it started but died 3 minutes into weed whacking and now won’t turn back on.. spend the extra money and get something that will actually start easy then work after the first day. Update. we requested a refund and The seller reached out and wanted us to remove our negative rating and they would issue us a refund and let us keep the weedeater.
