I'm glad I decided to try gripping my clubs on my own. I found it easy to do and the only thing you need other than what is in this kit is a vice to hold the club in. I had been experimenting with going to midsize grips and didn't feel like paying for grips, labor, and then having to wait for a couple of days to get my clubs back. I grabbed some midsize tour velvets' and tried them out on a few clubs before doing the rest of the set. Some tips: - The cutter works well but be careful with graphite shafts cause it will mark them. - Get the cutter into the old grip and slice at a 45 degree angle rather than 90 so it doesn't score the shaft. - Put something under the club to catch the excess liquid so you can reuse it if necessary. - Taking off the old tape is a bit of a pain, if it's still sticky and not torn up from removal of the old grip you can sometimes just slip the new one and forget about changing the tape. ... show more

Everything worked great the only thing I want to say is I it will start to set almost immediately so you have to get the grip on right where you want it before you slide it on because you don’t have much time or wiggle room to move it around, I had a problem where one of my grips didn’t go on all the way either because I didn’t have enough of the liquid or whatever it is on there and it got stuck and I couldn’t move it at all or take it off to start again so I had to cut the grip off and put another one on. I don’t foresee these grips ever coming off after trying my hardest to remove that failed grip with everything I had once it got stuck halfway. As for removing the sticky stuff from the clubs I had problems with some of my cheaper clubs because it looks like those handles were just glued on but on my nicer clubs the handles were stuck on there with tape and everything came off no problem and it was almost ready to go immediately. The first club was ready to go after I got done with the last it works very quickly I’d definitely recommend doing this with your clubs in a vice if you have that option otherwise you’ll probably get that liquid all over you and it’s much harder to line up the grips with the club ... show more
