Bought this to solve the issue of a 90 lb doberman puppy flipping his plastic(see corner pic) bowl over...did stain my hardwood, so I needed something robust that would work. After 3 weeks he has yet to flip this over or knock the stainless steel bowl out. Very robust design. The bowls are a bit small for a XL dog who is going through about 9 cups of food a day(we are very active). The bowls are really good quality and everything is US made. I work in plastic industry and would never recommend foreign made plastics to be used as food containers. Dishwasher friendly, packaging was nice(others complained about it, but I guess they have updated it). Easy to assembly and the color is a nice soft grey. My dog has since tried to "dig" on the base of it and it holds up to his paws while he "digs" for food. 8'' is what I got for him and I might have gone one size up if I had to do it again. For US made alternatives I found some clay or stainless bowls that were more expensive or cheaper plastic bowls but without the stand. I would recommend this, it seems to be a buy once/cry once kind of situation. ... show more

I really love these weather tech sets. I’m a veterinary nurse and when one of my little boys started coughing (he’s getting older) I decided to try a raised feeder to avoid any issues from developing. I won’t use medical terms. But I got one set to start. I had tried raised feeders before but they were a mess even with place mats. I ran across these and that the legs snap into placemat I loved. And the bowls seem to nest so well. It was exactly as described. Any mess stays on the matt, sturdy plastic, easy to wipe clean. The bowls come out easily for us human so we can wash them but my little guys can tip them at all and best of all, no coughing while drinking. This is my second set because they prefer these bowls to old ones and don’t like to share, lol. They’re not inexpensive, but I’ve fed tons of dogs out of lots of bowls during my career and I will never regret these purchases for these two. I miss my bulldog terribly. I’d love to see how they stood up to him. Someday soon maybe you’ll get a bulldog update. Fingers crossed!!! ... show more

It was a gift. Contacted the family about the functionality of the feeding dish. He is fairly a large dog (a rescue, 2 years old). The family was thrilled Finn did not have to bend so low to eat!
