I actually combined these with some foldable silicone/plastic stripping to help stop some window drafts. They smell a little bit (thicker stuff I have from another brand doesn't) but I think it's dissipating.

I originally thought I ordered a thicker strip, but after checking saw this was my mistake. I'm happy to say that didn't affect the outcome of my project. I was using this to seal the bottom of a door where there was an airgap and it worked just fine. I was able to basically measure the strip to the size of the door, cut it with som scissors and stick along the edge. I then repeated the process for the middle-bottom and the other edge to account for the width of the door. There were no issues with the adhesive, and it blocked alot of the cold air that was seaping through. The door itself is not very even so I was surprised at how well it turned out. It also doesn't stand out and looks like it belongs as part of the door. No complaints here.

This size weatherstripping is perfect for most doors and windows and can be used to either replace old foam or build up other ones that are just a bit too thin. The sticky side is very sticky, and it can be hard to get the plastic strip off of the gum side, but once you get it started, it seems to run out just fine. (I've tried lightly scoring the protective strip with a blade, which seems to help.) If you have white windows, you might prefer a white foam, but the black can be good when you have darker trim.

It does keep the cold out when you finally get it on the window. I ended up having to use super glue to get it to stay though. The adhesive that is pre applied before shipping is not very strong. Would hold ok in the middle of a strip but the ends kept coming off. Has a weird smell to it as well.
