I ordered this flat iron to replace my old Conair combination flat iron and curling iron. The Wazor titanium flat iron blows the Conair right out of the ball park. These are the pros about this product. 1. It heats up to the full 450 degrees in just over 2.5 minutes. 2. It straightens my thick, wavy hair in less than half the time it took using the Conair. Straightening and adding curl took about 8 minutes for my medium length hair that falls about 3 inches past my shoulders. 3. There is a protective rim around the plates that lessens the possibility of burning your face and neck during use. 4. The flat iron locks into the closed position and the cord comes with a velcro strip for easy cord control when you are storing the item. 5. The heat settings go from 250 to 450 degrees which makes it suitable for all hair types. 6. The highest setting of 450 degrees did not damage my hair 7. The thinner wand allows me to curl my hair as well as straighten it. 8. The iron is lightweight but seems strong and well made. 9. The cord swivels and doesn't get tangled during use. Cons: 1. The titanium plate is rather small measuring 3.5" in length by 7/8" in width. My old Conair flat iron was 6" in length by 1.5" in width. The width itself is actually fine as it makes it easier to curl the hair after straightening. It would be nice if the length was at least 5". 2. My hair slips out at the end of the flat iron, probably because the iron plates are so short. Despite the cons, this flat iron still straightened and curled my hair in record time. ... show more

I don't know who writes these reviews but it's bs. Truth is... it does go up to 450 and does get super hot in a few seconds. Con's it took over an hour to flat iron my daughters hair. She has medium length curly hair. Which means midway through it shut off...very disappointed also it looked like I blew dry her hair straight and not stood for a full hour and change flat ironing it. It does not close all the way to apply the right amount of heat. My old andis flat iron I bought from Walmart works better than this. I'm just super pissed because I researched and read these reviews and there was no negative ones, so I believed it to work but nope. Sending this back...p.s ...When reading a review check the persons name to see if they reviewed anything before or see if more than 2 people reviewed the same items on the same days smh SCAM! ... show more

This is my second one of these. My first one lasted several years but eventually needed replacing just because of use. This one has only been used for about a year and I'm probably going to have to replace it soon. Kinda disappointed that it didn't last as long and got less use than the first one.

Wazor hair styling tools are always very good quality. The Ceramic Titanium plate helps my hair glide through smoothly. I like the clip that keeps the straightner closed when not in use, it's very handly. It's a nice weight and length. I like the swivel cord and auto shut off. For the cost, this is a stellar product. I have been using flat irons for 10 years and paid quite a bit for a quality product, and this is just as good for a fraction of the cost.
