This is our second Wakar dehumidifier purchase. The first one has been fantastic for a little over two years and I'm sure this one will be wonderful as well. This is the Waykar 155 Pints Commercial Dehumidifier with Pump, Drain Hose and Washable Filter Space up to 8000 Sq. Ft, for Basements, Industrial or Commercial Spaces - 5 Year Quality Coverage. It just arrived today and is packaged extremely well, which is so important with such a large, heavy item (especially when the delivery drivers left the box sitting in the snow lol). The box was wet on the bottom, but was packaged very well and strapped, so it didn't fall apart while trying to get it in the house. Upon opening the box, it is insulated in heavy cardboard supports on all four corners and the unit itself is wrapped quite well in the most fantastic bubble paper I've ever seen! (Yes, I will absolutely be keeping it to repurpose lol). This unit has a very heavy door that opens allowing you access to the washable filter and has a heavy magnetic closure, so it won't vibrate when operating. The handle is halfway attached and just requires unscrewing two knobs and reinstalling them through the other two holes in the handle. They also included rubber washers so it sits quietly against the sides of the unit. For such a heavy unit, it moves very easily with the oversized wheels and the very sturdy handle. This is a well-built and very solid unit and came with very clear instructions and all the necessary hoses and clamps. It still needs to sit for 24 hours before we can plug it in, but I will update if there are any issues. Very thrilled with this purchase!

Style: 155 Pints with Pump
I purchased a Waykar 155 pint commercial dehumidifier after reading positive reviews online. Here are the details of my experience with this unit: 1. It is powerful and the range of humidity control is excellent. I did a test and set up a drying rack with wet clothes in the room. Within an hour the shirts were completely dry and heavier items (jeans and towels) within a couple of hours. 2. Unlike other dehumidifiers I’ve owned, this unit does not have a removable water reservoir. Water either goes directly out of the dehumidifier by hose (bypassing the internal reservoir), or it is directed into an internal reservoir and pumps out automatically when the reservoir is full. I tried both features and prefer the internal reservoir/pump option. It allows me to use a large bucket to collect water without the constraint of other types of units with a removable reservoir that would need to be emptied more often. 3. I initially had an issue with determining how to configure the hoses for the two different options for water outlet (from #2 above) but Waykar customer service is excellent. They sent me a video showing what to do -- it involved redirecting a hose inside the unit, which did not require any exceptional handy-person skills. 4. Seeing the amount of water that is being collected in the bucket is ironically satisfying. It tells me (a) that this dehumidifier is incredibly effective and (b) my house really needed this. Initially the dehumidifier was extracting more than a large bucket of water a day. 5. I’m including 2 photos showing water collection. The white bucket is taller than the hose outlet and the thin hose to the left is pumping water out of the internal reservoir. For the direct outlet (larger hose coming out of the right side) I used a smaller/shorter bucket because I believe this is relying on gravity to expel water from the unit. I hope this is helpful to someone considering this dehumidifier. I am very happy with my purchase of this commercial unit.
