The media could not be loaded. I ordered the Waykar CPL190B to dehumidify my entire basement, about 1000 square feet with 8 foot ceiling height. The product works extremely well, I am totally satisfied. The main reason is the quick reduction in humidity levels and quiet operation, as you can hear in the short video clip. It took about 30 minutes to unpack and set up. Prior to powering the unit on, set up requires the product to be unpowered, upright on a level floor 24 hours after shipping which I complied with. As you can see in the picture and video, it was configured to drain directly into my sump pump basin. Upon waiting 24 hours, I turned the unit on, the initial humidity was approximately 70%, as can be observed in the photo. After running for 2 hours, the unit brough the humidity down to approximately 50%, as shown in the photo. The unit is quiet yet powerful, I'm very satisfied with its performance. Furthermore, customer service was helpful, answering questions, via email, within 24 hours. Well done Waykar

I purchased this unit because my basement has been too humid. I already have 2 dehumidifiers running constantly and a heat pump water heater pulling extra moisture from the air. I was having a hard time getting the humidity below 60%. After this unit came in, I let it sit for a day to ensure the refrigerant settled if it was disturbed during shipping. Unpacking was pretty easy as once you cut the straps the box lifts right up. There was a few crushed areas of the box so I was a little concerned there might be damage but the air packs they had inside prevented this. I will say there unit was heavy as the case is metal. It feels well built and solid. I am a little limited where I can run it in my basement as the spec for the unit lists it as 1900W (I will eventually get around to measuring). I had a dedicated I can run it on and not worry about tripping a breaker. My one complaint is that the cord is a bit short and at one corner of the unit. The air intake is in the back of the unit and the exhaust comes out one side so the cord in a corner is harder to position the unit. I have the drain hose (included) go into a condensate pump which dumps the water outside. After setup, I ran the unit on the high fan setting in my basement. It puts out a lot of air. It brought the humidity down from 62% to 45% in roughly 2 hours. This reading was confirmed by a near by dehumidifier. I will say this unit throws out some heat. It has increased the basement temperature a few degrees in the area it is running in, but this is a byproduct of getting the air dry and an acceptable trade off. All in all I am happy with the purchase. I will post an updated at the end of the summer season. Update: Due to colder weather I have shut this down for the season. It performed very well but did increase the temperature in my basement.

The media could not be loaded. We purchased the WayKar Dehumidifier cpl190b for the high capacity. The dehumidifier reservior has a 2.1 gallon capacity. I wanted to test the dehudifier to know how much water it would collect and how quickly. The reservoir filled while operating overnight. It filled the second time in under 7 hours. So, in the first 23.5 hours it had removed 4.2 gallons of water from the room but the room was still high relative humidity. At that point, the drain hose was connected so it would drain continously and the dehumidifier has been running non-stop. The relative humidity level started at 79% and after running continously for over 4 days the level was down to 47%. I rarely do any product reviews but the difference in the humidity level is why I decided to takes some pictures and videos and gave it a 5 star review. I took a few pics and a couple short videos. Some of the pics show the packaging. It only requires cutting the White Straps and the top of the box lifts off. Handles on each side on the dehumidifer make it very easy to lift off.

I grow most of our veggies and herbs in our basement, and the humidity can be very high depending on the temperature in the two grow rooms. Cooler temperatures will hold less humidity, but with temperature changes of seasons, it is sometimes difficult to reduce the heat generated by the plant lights. Inn the past, we had a problem with mold in our attic caused by humidity that somehow got from the basement to the attic. We had to have the roof replace and all of the wood under it which was very costly. Since then, we have been very aware of controlling the humidity in our basement. Although we have had two other dehumidifiers in our basement, they have not been able to keep the humidity below 60% when the temperatures in the areas get warmer. We bought this dehumidifier in hopes it would keep the humidity lower. The first unit we got showed the standby icon when plugged in, but the display did not function at all. I also had questions about the purpose of the clean button, what is was for and how go set it. I called customer service a number of times, and they had no clue. Since this unit was within the Amazon return period, we decided to return it as defective, reordered it, and used the box from the second unit to return the first one. We got the second unit connected, and, so far, it is working. This model does not have a reservoir to empty and can only be drained with a hose. The hose that comes with it was too short, but a standard garden hose can be used if the connector is cut off. It connects to the dehumidifier internally with a clamp. So, you have to remove the side of the unit to connect the hose. Since this unit does not have a pump, drainage must be at ground level. Since we have this unit in the basement, we have the hose running to a sump pump for drainage. In my opinion, customer service should be more educated on the use and settings of this machine. Considering that this dehumidifier costs over $600, I believe that customer service should be more knowledgeable of the product. UPDATE 01/15/24: So far, this dehumidifier seems to be working. It brought the humidity down from 69% to 46% in less than 24 hours. The area it is in is about 45 feet by 15 feet which amounts to about 675 square feet. I have it set to 30% humidity, so this will be continuous without setting it as continuous. This room is a grow room for vegetable plants that is usually 72 to 75 degrees, and the soil in the plants are kept watered. Since higher temperatures can hold more humidity, a level of 46% humidity in this room isn't too bad. Although this unit seems to be working well to remove humidity from the room, it is loud when it is running. Since it is in out basement, the noise doesn't bother us at all, but this is not something you would want in a living area. I have increased the star rating to 5 stars because the replacement unit works well. I still believe customer service has much to be desired. I did get a response from the manufacturer on the purpose of the clean button. It is simply a reminder to clean the filter. For me, it is simpler to clean the filter on the first of every month rather than set this button for 30 days and then have to remember how to shut off the reminder once the filter is cleaned. UPDATE 04/16/24: I found out how to disable the flashing clean reminder for the filter, but it didn't work for this unit. You have to turn off the power, let the machine sit for about 5 minutes, and press the clean button for 3-4 seconds. When the "clean" days comes on, press the setup button. This will set the clean cycle to 0 and disable it. If you don't press the setup button before the display of days goes off, you have to start the process all over again. UPDATE 07/14/24: After 6 less than 6 months of use, the second unit started leaking water on the floor. After cleaning up a couple gallons of water a couple of times, I shut it off and called customer service for a warranty claim. After a couple of weeks of messaging and sending them pictures, I was told they didn't have this model in stock and offered me two options. "Option A: Paid exchange Since your order is out of the 30-day free window, we can help exchange it, but you will need to bear the double-way shipping costs. We would like to recommend you the DP600B as a replacement unit, which is 155 pints, smaller than your original 216 pints model. If you accept, the shipping fee of the replacement unit is $57.58, the return shipping fee is $60.40, then total of $117.98. If you would like this option, please pay the shipping fee to us via PayPal, and send us a payment screen shot of the payment. Option B: Participate in our activity to get an upgraded machine for free. We are doing free given activity for one of our models released at the end of 2023. The Activity Model is PD903B, 216 pints with a pump and the current price is $849.99. 1. Search keywords 'Commercial Dehumidifier with pump' on Amazon 2. Place a new order for this dehumidifier directly from Amazon. 3. Write a 4-5 STARS REVIEW with 1 VIDEO + 3-5 PISTURES to share your feelings and thoughts about our product brand. Once your review is successfully posted on Amazon, we will process a FULL REFUND ( excluding the tax fee) for you." So, I was offered a unit smaller than what I had and had to shipping for both the replacement unit and return shipping for the defective one, or, I could pay out an additional $899.99 plus tax, provide a solicited 4-5 star review with video and pictures, and hope it's good enough to get my $899.99 less taxes refunded. In my opinion, neither of these options were viable options for a warranty claim on a defective unit with a 5 year warranty that lasted less than 6 months. Fortunately, Amazon supports their customers and agreed to pick up the defective unit at no charge and give me a full credit for the unit. I definitely would not recommend buying a Waykar dehumidifier as their customer support knows nothing about the products and the 5-year warranty is a not supported. Considering the options I was given, I wonder how many of the positive reviews were posted by people forced to give a positive review to get a defective unit replaced on the non-existent warranty. I hope this review was helpful for you and will update the review if my opinion changes.
