This is a great dehumidifier that reduced the humidity of my house by 10% making it more livable. It’s not too loud and will shut itself off after hitting the humidity set point. I like having the option to drain externally so dumping the interior container is not necessary.

It's a nice dehumidifier. Comparatively more quiet, more efficient and cheaper than many others. Only downside is such a small tank capacity. In my situation I needed to put it into a store room that had no drain. So placed it on a table* and led the drain tube into a 5-gallon bucket. But I also made an automatic shutoff (shuts power off at the electrical outlet to the unit, OR you could also wire it into the unit itself) using a float sensor, low voltage relay switch, low voltage power supply and small power strip. All inexpensive parts, and you can assemble your own shut -off if you don't empty your bucket when it's full (you can use any size bucket you want). I mounted my float switch in a 14-inch x 1 inch wide x 1/8 inch thick piece of aluminum stock (hole drilled in, can use wood) so I can very easily just remove it (it lays across top of bucket) it and put aside across a smaller container/bucket as I empty the bigger bucket. (You can also use the bucket lid or attach it some other way if you want.) I consulted Grok for parts list, instructions and wiring diagram. I don't have any specialized skills. So now I can use a small quiet cheaper dehumidifier in a place where there's no drain. And not have to lead long hoses, use a separate condensate pump, or drill holes in walls to reach the next room, etc. We shall see how the Waykar works out but so all is well. Even without the float sensor gizmo, the 5-gallon bucket idea is one that anyone can use immediately. Just see how long it takes to empty a certain amount of moisture from the air in the room and easily calculate how long you have until your chosen bucket reaches full (which I did the first week). Either way it works well. * PS: I removed the 4 caster wheels. Also, I plan to move the dehumidifier to a slightly different position on a bit lower platform to free up the table and perhaps gain a few percent "humidity sucking at a slightly lower altitude" but that's neither here nor there. Main thing is that you can set up with a bucket right away, and come back if desired with the rest of the plan later.

I've only had this dehumidifier for a day and I absolutely love it!! Its a small unit, but powerful!! I live in a 1,100 square foot apartment in MN, that's a lower level unit and has humidity the same as a basement. When I plugged it in the humidity level was at 76, and in about 12 hours it has lowered the humidity in my whole apartment down to 54. I have had to empty the container several times as I don't have the constant drain hose setup. And that would be the only downside to this unit- a small water collection container..... oh, and the cost is a little on the higher side!!.... but other than that, this dehumidifier has done its job and then some in a matter of hours!! I would definitely recommend to whoever is in need of a good quality dehumidifier!!.... one more thing I should probably comment on is that it is not the quietest, at least with the fan on high like I have it. But if you dont mind the sound of a fan in the background, you have nothing to complain about!.... Hopefully this unit will last several years to come!!

This product is very well made, quiet, and performs as advertised. It was easy to set up and reduced the humidity as needed.I had Ice budding up on the coil . The company provided excellent support in troubleshooting the problem. When we could not resolve the issue through troubleshooting they replaced the unit and provided return shipping for the original unit. A sign of a great company when they stand behind their products without a struggle!

Love this dehumidifier! Makes my life easier. Okay, so I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just have to say — I love this Waykar dehumidifier. It has made such a difference in our basement and even upstairs when it gets muggy. First of all, it’s really quiet. I was worried it would be loud and annoying, but honestly, you hardly even notice it’s on. I can still hear the TV or have a conversation without yelling over it, which is a big deal for me. I also really like that the water bucket is big, so I’m not having to empty it constantly. And when I do need to empty it, it’s super easy to slide out and carry to the sink. I’m all about things that don’t make more work for me! We ended up hooking up a hose to it so it can drain by itself, and let me tell you — best decision ever. Now I don’t even have to think about it. It just does its thing and keeps the air nice and dry. Oh! And it has wheels, which is awesome because I’m not trying to lug this heavy thing around the house. I just roll it where I need it, and done. All in all, this little machine is a lifesaver. It’s quiet, easy, and just works. Honestly, anything that makes the house feel better and saves me time is a win in my book! And even my husband noticed the other day — he walked downstairs and said, “Wow, it actually smells good down here now.” So if he noticed, you know it’s working!
