Purchased system in 2021for use in a 5th wheel trailer, and later in our guest quarters and restoration shop. It's gotten a LOT of use and we have had NO operational or reliability issues with it at all. It is simple to program (run time, target humidity, fan speed). It's quiet, has a carrying handle, an air filter, and the option to connect to a gravity drain or to the system's on-board tank. The size and shape worked well in all 3 applications. The design of the cabinet uses soft curves to make it look quite nice, not so "industrial".

UPDATE: we moved it inside and it is life changing for us Texans! Within hours, we could tell the humidity in the house had dropped. The air is so much lighter and cooler. Very pleased with purchase!!! The day our dehumidifier was delivered we had a freak failure of a PVC elbow in the garage attic. Sprayed water overnight for about eight or nine hours. Setup was quick and simple, and the wheels make it easy to move around. The dehumidifier dried out the particle board quickly so there was no swelling. It kept the Sheetrock ceiling from collapsing because it dried it so quick. I purchased this to help lower the humidity in our house during our hot Texas summers so I know I picked the right one after seeing its superb performance in the garage. It saved us thousands of dollars in repairs.

Not only does it perfectly control humidity and remove condensation, but it's also extremely quiet, making it ideal to use even at night without any disturbance. Another great advantage is its design - it has a modern and futuristic look that blends perfectly with the RV's interior. Since I started using it, the environment inside the RV feels much drier and more comfortable, and I'm sure that reducing humidity will help extend the life of my RV and its interior materials. I purchased the Waykar 2000 Sq Ft dehumidifier for my downstairs rec room which is about 600 square feet. The unit is compact and powerful. I really like the feature that allows various humidity percentage settings and once reached, the machine automatically turns off. I have mine set to 50% humidity and the bin is full after about 8-10 hours. We've also used the continuous drainage port which works well. The unit comes with the hose and we had the water draining into a sink while we were out of town. The unit isn't extremely noisy when running. It's the equivalent of a box fan. We contacted Waykar customer service to get assistance with a few questions and they were resolved to our satisfaction. Tina with Waykar Customer service was prompt, courteous and professional in helping us troubleshoot and resolve our questions. Waykar offers a 1 year warranty which is great. I would also recommend buying the Asurion extended protection if your budget allows. Overall, I would recommend this machine to anyone looking for an effective and compact floor dehumidifier.

We’ve owned the Waykar 120 dehumidifier for a year now. We have owned several different brands over the years and feel this is the best. Foremost, it’s quiet. This is important to us because of its location in our basement family room. The tank is easy to empty though it would be great if it was larger. If I could I would set it up to drain directly. This thing flat out removes moisture well. Our space is about 30’x12’ and it’s very noticeable when the unit is in use and when it’s not. For the price, we are very happy so far and recommend the Waykar 120.

I shopped on Amazon and decided on the Waykar product because most owners were happy with their units and the customer service for Waykar had high marks. Many other brands did not. I have two free-standing hygrometers and they have read as low as 41% humidity. That is very good. So, the Waykar 80 Pinter is doing its job. I am happy with the performance of this unit. The filter is easy to get to and remove for cleaning. Do that. The controls are simple and easy to use. The only other question I have about this dehumidifier is its reliability and longevity. If I get five or ten years out of it, I'll be happy. Update 7-2024: Well, this dehumidifier lasted only one season (1 yr.). I took it out of storage in June (it was well covered and protected). I checked the air filter. Cleaned that although it really didn't need it. I plugged it in and turned it on. It worked for about two weeks and then I noticed the humidity levels were reading in the mid to upper 60's on my hygrometers. This was unacceptable. I contacted Waykar customer service and they had me perform certain tests and checks so they could determine what the problem was. The service department determined my dehumidifier had failed and they would ship me a new one (this one was still in warranty). My contact was Penny at Waykar. I have to say, as many others have, Waykar's customer service is excellent. Penny was excellent. Her communication and instructions were speedy and precise. I thank her for that. What Waykar did was ship me a new unit and ask that I pay $45 for the shipping. I agreed to this and I have received my new dehumidifier. It is working great, just like the one it replaced. Humidity levels are back at 45%. I run it once a day for a full cycle (a full tank). However, I have to say that I am really disappointed in my first unit because I didn't get the 5 to 10 years of service out of it like I had hoped. I only got one. I guess this unit lost its refrigerant like the old Whirlpool did. So, I'll use this new one, store it and then get it out next year and see what happens. I did notice something different about my replacement unit compared to the first one. The first one had green indicator lights. This one has white and red lights. Does that mean Waykar has improved its product? I hope so. I hope this current one will last five years? I'm not confident but I'll give it a try. These appliances are expensive and they continue to rise in price (like everything else). K
