I love this melter. It holds a lot of wax but is not so oversized that I have trouble storing it in my small space. It fits on a shelf or in a deep cupboard when not in use. They only things I would change is a little leakage from the spout after you dispense the wax (for which I use a air fryer liner on the floor to catch it) and the spout on the inside is a little higher than the bottom so you have to CAREFULLY tilt it to get the remaining wax out. Other than that, it's VERY easy to clean, to control your wax temperature, is sturdy, and overall well-made. Would buy again. ... show more

Pretty good unit. The fact that you have to sit on the edge so the spout can drop lower is a tad bit annoying and the design is a bit crude but seems like a good product and worked fine for us.

The overall construction of the pot is good. Strong handles, solid feet and solid lid. The heating controller is made out of good material and the power cable is soft and pliable. The lid didn't have a hole to put a thermometer in but I can lift the lid just as easy so its not a deal breaker for me. This is not a design flaw but just how thermodynamics works. The pour spout tends to be a lot cooler than the pot because its away from the side of the pot and the wax plugs the spout. This is not a big deal for me because I use a heat gun when I make candles, so I just heat the pour spout up a little and it pours just fine. They did an excellent job using a high temp sealant between the pot and the spout so it doesn't leak anymore. When you turn the heater on there is a wide area on the controller that just says warm before the first mark that reads 200 degrees. I just put my beeswax in the pot and put the temp controller to the center of the warm area. I kept checking my temp and adjusting until it hit around 170 degrees. Once I was getting a stable temp I marked the temp controller knob and it gives me an exact spot to go to every time I melt wax. The spout is above the bottom so when you get to the bottom of the pot you have to tilt the pot to pour the wax but all you have to do is slid the lid under the back legs and it works perfect. Besides some minor issues the unit is well worth the money. Like any electronics there is a burn in period to see if anything goes bad. I recommend testing the unit as soon as you receive it so if there are any issues you are well within your warranty period and you can return it for an exchange. I'm a small batch candle maker and have been using the double boiler method since the birth of my company. I was nervous to invest in a large wax melter but I couldn't keep up with the work load of not having one- so I got this one and I'm SO glad. It doesn't take up a ton of space, its easy to clean, easy to use, easy to assemble, and it melts super fast and even if you're willing to stir every few moments. I bought this for making candles and it is much faster than a double boiler method, saves so much time! It is a little learning curve on keeping the temp just right... as long as you keep a thermometer in it and an eye on it your good, as you use the wax and add more wax you have to adjust the dial, but still faster !! I’m thinking of getting another one to hold a different wax I use for my tarts and melts. ... show more

This is an 1st review. When I recieved this and turned it on for the first time, I thought it was broken. I was testing to see how hot it became without the wax. The dial on the knob seemed to be out of sync. The heating light kept turning off and the pot was not getting hot enough. Once, I put the wax in, I saw it's true benefit. The heating element did continue to turn off and on but this is apart of the built in safety feature. It worked well and was fairly easy to clean. I initially purchased this to heat my pillar wax in bulk. I will purchase another for my soy wax. I hope it doesn't break on me. I will submit another review after some repeated use. ... show more
