It was easy to use and heated up very quickly! But poor design; the temperature control is at the very bottom of the unit and I keep bumping it with my hand/wrist. I'll need to use this a few more times before I weigh in on value, function, etc but so far, it was fairly easy to use and I was able to get soft waves.

Terrible. I have fine wavy hair but not thin. To make this work at all I have to hold it shut with the thumb lever. then it doesn't slide easily and leaves crimp lines. Also pulls and snags hair. I thought maybe because i was needing to hold it closed, but no. It snags and pulls out hair on every pass. had better success with cheap Walmart models.

My wife uses this tool and likes it but still prefers her other straightener. There is nothing wrong with this one, but there are a couple differences where day to day prefers her original but says this was better to use when curling her hair as it is easy to use for curling and is pretty simple to manipulate. However, the temperature control is a bit odd—it’s a twist mechanism with numbers displayed on the screen, but there’s no clear gauge for low to high heat. I also don’t love that you can’t just increase the temp slightly; it feels more all-or-nothing. One thing to note is that the built-in fan is loud, even on the lowest setting. It’s different from most hot tools (except a hair dryer), so it might take some getting used to. So far, I’ve only used it for curling, and it works well. I haven’t tried straightening yet, but overall, it seems like a solid tool with a few quirks.
