I have a MacBook Air M3 laptop and was frustrated I could not connect it to multiple monitors. This product saved the day! This is not sponsored, I’m a regular person who desperately needed multiple monitors for a class setup. I plugged my 2 Lenovo DP cables into this device, and then plugged the device’s USB C cable into my laptop and it works perfectly. As others have mentioned, you do need to download the display link software, but it was very straightforward and easy to install and use. The hardest part of the whole process was finding the right device that would allow this setup. My only complaint - and I’m not sure if it’s because of this product or the laptop itself - is that I can’t close the laptop and just use the 2 monitors. When I try that, the monitors go blank and the laptop sleeps. Otherwise, it’s perfect and I’m so glad I found and ordered this. MacBook Air M2, yeah, you know the problem right the way, which only support one external monitor, like the 90’s and no HDMI. It is not even that old. Everyone should have 2 external monitors for productivity. Most important point is Displaylink, not to confuse with DisplayPort. Searching around, there are tons of expensive docks with multiple USB connectivity that I don’t need. Finally found this little guy doing exactly what I want. It is solid build using the USB C to connect to the Mac ( even has a USB 3.0 connection whenever you might need). Two HDMI and DisplayPort for 4k 60 Hz. With two monitors all day long, mildly warm on touch, totally acceptable. Connectivity is consistent, no flickering of screen, no turning off screen for no reason. No paying extra for things I don’t need. Very happy with this purchase. ... show more

GAME CHANGER! So when COVID happened and we all went home, I purchased two monitors to use with my work laptop. COVID was over and we were required back to office space part of the week. Now we are full-time back to the office so I have two monitors that wouldn't be used and a MacBook Air that for whatever reason is deemed a one external monitor freak of nature...until now! I have 2 Dell monitors and an ANCIENT Compaq monitor hooked up the MBA via this wonderful device. The two Dells are connected with DisplayPort cables to this device and work without fault - even when you wake the computer. Make sure to install the software before having a mini meltdown thinking they didn't work :) (it was just that kind of a day). The Compaq is connected to another extension device via a VGA to HDMI adapter as it does not seem to like the Wavlink or it's software ... but it works just fine and actually gives me additional ports for USB or card use as MBA doesn't have those built in. Overall, is a great purchase so so far, so good (I'm on day 3 of using it!) ... show more

I used this to connect 2 external monitors to a Macbook Pro M1 - and it was no good. The cursor on the secondary monitors lagged behind and was difficult to position as it's position would update a second or so after you stopped moving. Overall, not impressed with the implementation and bought an M4 mac to resolve the issue the right way. ... show more

I used this device with a MacBook M3 Air, running two external displays in addition to the MacBook’s built-in display. The setup worked as expected while the device was functional. The product performed well for just under two years, after which it stopped working completely and is now unusable. During the time it worked, the MacBook occasionally experienced hanging issues. It is unclear whether this was caused by the hardware itself or by software-related factors. On the positive side, the device is versatile, offers good port availability, and is compatible with DisplayLink. Setup was straightforward—simply plugging it in allowed it to start working immediately. Overall, it worked well while it lasted; however, given that it failed in less than two years, I would rate it 3 stars for reliability and longevity. ... show more

So far it works as expected. This is being used on a MacBook air m2, with the displayLink driver (not included, requires a manual install). It enables both the laptop and 2 external screens to run extended mode. I frustratingly learned that certain Mac laptops cannot support 2 external screens natively. Then when using a regular adapter it didn't work. Learned it needs to be an adapter that supports DisplayLink, which you install as a driver on the Mac. Anyway now it works. The negatives: 1) USB cable is attached. If it breaks it cannot be swapped 2) USB cable length is short, it has to be on your desk 3) there is occasional stuttering/lag with the cursor, it mostly works fine but the DisplayLink software causes some lag since it's not native rendering Other than that this works and is fairly affordable. If I were to ever buy another again it would be one with a swappable USB-C (if that exists) just seems like a major fault point. ... show more
