  • Helped me set water pressure
We're on community water and needed to have a pressure regulation valve installed. After the plumbers left I noticed they'd set the pressure way too low. Instead of calling them back and spending a lot more money on another call, I ordered this and adjusted the pressure myself back to something reasonable. Where our water comes in, just after the regulator, is what looks like a regular garden hose spigot for draining the pipes. I screwed this into that spigot, turned it on and adjusted the pressure on the valve. It was very simple. There were no leaks and no problems. The only issue is that I really just needed this gauge for this 2 minute project so now it's going to sit on a shelf in the utility room. It's not something I will likely ever need again. But if someone else does it's here to borrow I guess. So, it worked fine, no leaks and saved me having to call the plumber back for a simple adjustment. ... show more

  • Works, except max needle is too sensitive
Does what is advertised, max needle a bit to sensitive to be useful

  • Worked great!
Inexpensive and worked great to measure our water pressure…I’m installing a computer-controlled sprinkler from Irrigreen. (Check them out...Their system automatically adjusts flow to match your lawn boundary!). The Irrigreen system needs between 40-80 psi and this was an inexpensive way to measure it. The gauge worked well. I used it once and I’ll probably never need it again, but for a nominal cost I got the information I needed. ... show more

  • Great Pressure Gauge, Accurate, Tracks High Pressure
Obviously this is a really simple device, so there is not much to say. The gauge fits on a normal hose bib without any leaks. The pressure readings match my other pressure gauges, so I would call it accurate. Responses to other reviews: Re needle on wrong side of stop - I doubt this is a manufacturing issue, this sounds like a delivery issue. I suspect it was dropped in delivery causing the needle to jump over the stop. Eitherway, it is a simple fix since the clear face can be easily removed and the needle manually pushed over the stopper. Re red high pressure needle is loose - This is supposed to be this way, if you push back on the black needle you can see how little resistance it takes to move it. Obviously if you set the red needle too tight, it would interfere with accurate readings. Again, eitherway, the red needle is counterbalanced, so while you can bump it easily, it won't move on its own. ... show more

  • Handy Water Pressure Gauge
The Watts Water Pressure Test Gauge is a reliable and practical tool for measuring water pressure. With its accurate readings of both maximum and current pressure, it's perfect for testing outside spigots or others to test your water pressure. The PSI recommendations on the packaging provide helpful guidance. Trust the Watts brand for quality and accuracy in water pressure testing. I personally put a quick-connect on all devices so it makes it easier to pop on / off for a quick test. ... show more

  • Floppy Hold Needle, but Fixable
The one I bought years ago is great. This one has a loose hold needle that others have also complained about. I cut out a small piece of plastic from the packaging, sliced a notch in it, and slipped it between the hold needle brass grab handle and the clear plastic case. This provides enough consistent friction to keep the hold needle from moving under surges or vibration. ... show more
