I ordered this Watersport Vest with Durable 600D Fabric & Breathable Mesh to wear when I go out paddleboarding on the lake near my house. Currently I have a vest that is made of a dense. heavy rubber material, and I chose this vest because it is made with a lighter, more comfortable Oxford fabric. I ordered a size medium/large, and it is a little bit snug on me (5'11", 180 lbs), but not so small that it's uncomfortable. So far I have had no issues with durability. Another feature this jacket has that my other vest does not are the pockets - very handy for small loose items (like lip balm, sunscreen, etc). The straps adjust easily and tighten securely. The emergency whistle is a nice touch - though I hope I'll never need it. Overall, this is a comfortable vest, and I'm satisfied with the quality and performance.

This is a nice vest and I’m excited to use it in my kayak when the weather improves. The fit is higher on the body than traditional life vests, as this is for kayaking. The color is pleasing to the eye and you even get a safety whistle. The zipper closure makes it easier to use and while it’s lightweight, it says it can hold 300lbs. The zippered pockets are NOT waterproof, but I wouldn’t expect them to be. I will be using a waterproof bag for my phone, should I carry it with me onboard my kayak just to safe. I am glad I ordered it.

We have a large extended family and do lots of water sports - sailing, canoeing, kayaking, standup paddle boarding - so we can always use an extra life vest. This is a nice vest but I have given it only 3 stars because I am reluctant to recommend a vest that does not have U.S. Coast Guard certification, certification that is missing on this vest but that is on all the other floatation vests we have. Without that certification we will use this vest for standup paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing on calm lakes where the user is typically in a swim suit, but will not use it for sailing or boating on large or rough or salt waters. The vest is easy to adjust to fit and appears well made. It has more flotation on the front and less on the back than our other vests making it perhaps particularly suited for sitting in a kayak. The arm openings are large and well placed so you have complete, free movement for paddling with any type of paddle.

We have a few kayaks and paddleboards and like to spend time at the lake in the summer. A PDF is a must have for everyone, however, as you just can't take a chance once you get away from the shore a bit. This PDF is adjustable in size via the should straps and waist strap, so you can get a good fit with it. The materials seem fine, it has a nylon material to it with some mesh on the back and sides. Maybe not as nice as my high end fishing PDF but it's great to have as an extra just to make sure you have one for everyone you are going out with.

This floatation vest is very lightweight and not bulky like some vests. The fabric is breathable, washable and quick to dry. The vest holds up a normal size adult male and female above water in calm water but does float lower than some vest we have worn before. The color is a soft, teal green which makes it very gender neutral for use by any adult. Some more waist adjustment could help the vest get tighter against the body but it doesn't ride up too much.

I initially ordered a medium size in this vest as that's what I typically wear in shirts, etc...but I found that the medium was very large on me, so I exchanged it for a small. I'm about 5'9" and 155lbs and even the small I need to sinch up all the straps to get it to fit me snugly. However, I do find that it's quite comfortable when wearing...and I like the mesh that runs from the sides around the back...seems like that will help keep you a bit cooler in the summer months. The two front pockets aren't that big, and larger hands may have a difficult time reaching down inside, but they are large enough to fit my iPhone 14 Pro, but not sure they'd fit anything much larger.

I was skeptical of this FRITTON Watersport Vest because of its low price point. And it is true, you get what you pay for. The different materials it is made of seem on the cheep side. Especially the zippers which are pretty important. Design is basic. I suppose it would get the job done but it does not appear to be very durable. I would not recommend it for extended kayak or canoe trips. Its use is designed more for paddling or light watersports.
