i installed this tarp and it looked good at first. after a few days i noticed what appears to be pinholes. each day that i check it, i find more areas with the same type of pinholes. very cheap material or defective material.UPDATE: within 24 hrs, the seller contacted me and resolved the problem. it appears that my item was defective and they sent me a replacement right away. I purchased this tarp especially for the color. I was wanting a color other than the standard colors like green, blue and black to possibly help shade and keep my coop a bit cooler. I believe it has served it purpose well for the shading. Also wanted to keep my chicken coop high and dry well, it has also done that well. This tarp arrived very well packaged and once we opened it into the yards I could see the magnitude of size and quality of the material used in making this tarp. I only owned this tarp from October until the following July before it tore open from sun damage. One year should have been a reasonable life expectancy for 16 MIL in the sun everyday but not this one. It did great until it burned up in the sun.

I expect this tarp to last a while. I mostly use this tarp to line my truck before loading green waste. It's very thick and has lots of grommets to tie off with. Worth the extra cost.

I had built an octagonal pergola and used sunscreen cloth for the top. Florida summer rains came and saturated the potted plants on my pergola. I found this tarp to be the perfect solution. I cut it into wedge shapes to fit my roof design and it has been there, repelling those summer storms for over a year now. With some leftover, I used it to build a cover for my SIP planter box, which doesn't like too much rain either. And one small piece covers my compost pile. I am now ordering another to cover the shed I recently built. I realize it will not hold up as well as roofing tiles do, but my shed roof is too steep for me, at 80+, to work on comfortably. We put this on our roof after a hurricane sent a tree limb through my bedroom ceiling. We were planning to fix the roof but my husband had to have his leg amputated. Long story short (too late!) the tarp is still there and holding up nicely. After a recent tornado, I wanted to get another just like it but they are no longer available.
