This blanket is literally amazing. I have a cat that I adopted from a shelter who sometimes has some improper urination on my couch or bed. Previous “waterproof” blankets I bought weren’t actually and they always leaked urine onto the actual bed or couch. NOT THIS ONE. First, I conducted a test on this blanket when I got it - could it hold 1/2 cup of water for at least 2 hours without leaking (it could!!) literally nothing got through to the other side. But today it finally passed it’s first real world test! My car unfortunately has an accident and it worked like magic! Held the urine and so I was able to paper towel up the urine. I could then spray on enzymatic cleaner which it held without leaking through! Literally the fastest cleanup after an improper urination incident I have ever had! On top of that, it’s a pretty nice blanket. Very warm and soft unlike other waterproof blankets which don’t feel great or don’t look like blankets. It also fits completely over my loveseat sized couch, I can drape it over so it covers the seat, back, and arms. This is great cause my cat tends to pee in the corners so if something didn’t fully drape over the couch pee would get onto it. GET THIS NOW IF YOU HAVE AN ACCIDENT PRONE PET! I have 2 and it is truly life changing.

I loved these so much I bought 4 of them. However, you must wash them on cold and air dry them. If you do not, they will lose their waterproof quality. They are the best out there, but if you don't treat them right, they won't work. I started drying them on medium to save time. I had two on the same bed -- one above the sheets and under the sheets. My cat peed on top of the bed, and even the blanket under the sheets was wet. This was my mistake - I dried them on Medium. The manufacturer says to only dry the blankets on Low. However, they are so heavy and waterlogged after washing that it takes several cycles on low to dry them, or one to two days on an indoor clothesline. I discussed with the manufacturer and realized my mistake. They sent me another blanket. Now I will ONLY dry them on low and then hang them on the line for a day to keep drying. The new blanket is waterproof, my cat peed on it tonight and it did not soak through.

Fantastic blanket to protect your bedding from visiting dogs. Looks lustrous and feels really nice and soft. Short "fuzz" so although it might catch dog hair, it won't be collecting them deep into fibers like my sherpa fleece blanket. Washed upon arrival and dried in the dryer on regular lowish heat without any issues. Color does not seem to fade or bleed. Two different colors on the two sides of the blanket are great for matching decor, I can switch it up easily. Great advice in the fine print to spot clean urine stains with enzymatic cleaner before washing because washing will just spread the urine throughout the entire blanket and make it much harder to actually remove the urine. Great purchase on sale for Black Friday!

I adopted a rescue livestock guardian dog this summer. Günter is adapting well to life as a wrangler of backyard chickens and entitled cats in my urban home. Enough so that my king size bed is a favorite spot to nap. I am glad to share with him, but a 122# Great Pyrenees leaves behind a lot of white fur and the drool would soak deep into my bedding. Constantly changing the sheets was not a sustainable option and the moving blanket controlled the fur but not the slobber. This has been a game changer! It fully covers the bed and stays put with the help of the a set of elastic bed sheet suspenders. The color coordinates nicely with my bedding, is soft and does the job. I can easily wipe off fur (sticks, leaves, whatever his floof drags in) and the drool is absorbed. A glass of red wine was blotted off and left no incriminating evidence behind. I am ordering a second blanket so that the bed can remain covered when washing. At night, I just fold back the section he isn’t occupying and have nice clean sheets. In the morning I smooth it back out and slip the suspenders back in place while he is outside, collecting more debris and protecting us from all perceived threats. It is ready for his frequent nap sessions as I slave away at work to support his blueberry scone addiction.
