  • Great collar! ...and the snap buckle is perfectly fine when used correctly.
I noticed multiple people leaving reviews saying how the snap buckle broke when they were walking their dog or after leaving them unattended on a runner setup. Personally, I think the snap buckle is perfectly fine, and quite a handy addition to the collar! That being said... there are many different types of dog collars on the market. The two most common types of collars are "control collars" and "ID collars." This collar is an ID collar. The purpose of an ID collar is simply to give a location for you to hang your pup's ID tag, rabies vaccination tag, and in the case of this particular collar, an Apple Air Tag. An ID collar is designed to be something you can quickly and easily put on you pup, and to be generally comfortable for them to wear. My pups live inside my house and have a dog door leading out to a fenced and secured back yard. As long as they are in the house or backyard they go without their collars; however, when we go for walks, take trips to places, or are hanging out at a friends house... they will wear their collars with tags and Air Tag. My point being that there is never a situation where my pups are pulling, or fighting, against their collars that would cause the snap buckle to break. Even when we take walks, they are trained to walk alongside me. The reason for them wearing their collars is just in case they happen to run off for some reason. If you have a dog that isn't trained to walk on a leash, or you're in a situation where you're having to use a leash to keep control over them... this is where you would want to use a "control collar." Control collars are generally "choke chains," "prong collars," or "Martingale collars." Dog harnesses are also a good way of having more control over your pup. These collars are not only designed to deter the dog from pulling or fighting against the leash, but they are also usually made of metal or chain, they have strong buckles and fasteners... basically, they are made to be durable in the type of scenarios they are used in. If you're dog doesn't walk well on a leash, or you have a situation where you keep them on a runner setup... you should definitely NOT buy a simple ID collar with a plastic snap buckle. If nothing else, at least purchase an ID collar made of thick nylon or leather and comes with a metal standard belt type buckle. If you're looking for a lightweight, comfortable collar that you can quickly and easily put on your pup as needed... this collar is perfect! The collar is made well, it has soft padding around the inside of the collar to feel nice on your pup's neck, and I really like the way that the Air Tag is attached to the collar. A lot of Air Tag collars have the tag holder hanging from them or they will have really cheap holders that slide on, but are just generally thin and flimsy. The tag holder on this collar is firmly attached, really durable, and again... won't irritate your pup's neck thanks to the nice padding it has. **The pictures I provided are of the two collars I purchased 8 months ago. i have a pitbull and a miniature pinscher and we go on hour long walks every single day, sometimes twice. The collars and buckles show no signs of breaking, cracking, snapping, or any failing in any way. 5 Stars!!! I say try one out! Just be aware of your, and your pup's, specific needs in a collar. ... show more

  • Excellent customer service
I purchased this collar a few months ago. The clasp broke. I reached out to customer service. They immediately replaced the collar. I am very satisfied with the new collar and the customer service. It’s a win win for me. UPDATE********************** today is August 21, 2023. They replaced the collar but unfortunately this collars latch has broke again. It just fell of my dog a few days ago. I would not recommend this collar. Customer service is good but I certainly do not want to continue having problems with this collar and have to keep contacting them for another collar. What I really want is the collar to not break every few months. So I’ll be in search for a new and different product. ... show more

  • Not easy to open compartment
The compartment was definitely not easy to open. Impossible by my own hands, I fought with it with a flathead screwdriver, but it was the butter knife that finally did the trick. The collar is a good width for the neck and the neoprene padding is a nice touch. I wish there were other color options but black is fine. The buckle is plastic and I worry it could break eventually, but should be fine if not taking on and off constantly. At least it won’t rust since my dog is in the ocean a lot. ... show more

  • Cannot open the airtag compartment.
This product seems durable etc - but I can't even open the compartment for the Airtag. It's not operable so unfortunately I can't use it.

  • A good back up plan to keep your pup safe!
Size: Medium
My dog goes to daycare twice a week, and they suggested getting a collar and adding an AirTag. I wasn’t sure if the AirTag would stay in place, but it’s been several months and it’s worked out great!

  • It's meh
Size: Medium
I first got one of these for my 20 lb escape artist terrier, but it's really too wide for her neck, especially with a collar for our underground fence. I initially bought a med, but it was too big, so I bought a small, and it's a little too snug. Also, the padding isn't stitched in all the way, just has a little strap to hold it down, so the end comes out from under the collar and then just hangs out. I put the medium one on my 6 mo. husky puppy, and it fit fine, but after <2 months using it with a tie out (only for potty breaks), he managed to break the plastic buckle and get free. Luckily, he's not super smart, so he just carried the collar around in his mouth, still attached to the tether, and stayed in the yard until we brought him in. Same issue with the padding, even though the collar was the correct fit. As for the Airtags- they stay in fine, no issues with them scratching or getting wet. ... show more
