Going on 6 months. This is my best friend since I got braces in. It fits right in my purse and I take it almost everywhere with me. It gets so much gunk out that brushing just doesn’t. Takes a little practice but once you get the hang of it, what a game changer. Recommend it to everyone. The noise isn’t bothersome at all. Grips very well and you can rotate the head however you need it. Doesn’t hold much water obviously, so I need to refill about 4 times to get a proper clean; not a big deal for me. This does exactly what I need it to do and I’m happy with it. It’s easy to use and very easy to recharge. The battery doesn’t seem to last as long as I expected, but that really hasn’t been a big issue for me. Overall, it works well and I’m glad I bought it.

PRO 1. It works! Two years ago my teeth mysteriously and suddenly began to sort of dissolve. I think it may have been medication related, but anyway I saw a top periodontist who not only did deep cleaning of the gums, but did a laser treatment under the teeth, deep into the gums. Then came several tooth implants and other procedures, all for the low, low price of $35,000! Needless to say, I got very serious about my teeth and gum care. My dentist recommended that I add water flossing to my daily cleaning routine and said he used a water pik himself. I had never used a water pik device because I thought they had to remain plugged into the wall and would take up a lot of space. It's pretty amazing how clean it gets teeth and gums, and with no pain and no bleeding and no difficulty getting floss in between teeth. Several months after most of the work had been done, I went in for a cleaning. The tech had practically nothing to do. She said my mouth was the best she'd seen all day. I could hardly believe it. (Note: I also floss and use those little brushes that go in between teeth.) 2. Maintenance. Someone mentioned that their Waterpik was hard to keep clean. I just rinse mine with warm water right after using it and put both pieces in the dish rack to dry. No problem. 3. It really holds a charge. I don't even remember charging the first one I got, but I never had to charge it again. CONS 1. You really have to learn how to aim it. I routinely squirt myself in the eye and the cat gets out of the bathroom when she sees me take it out. 2. Original review. They are not very sturdy. I just bought my 2nd one because my first one dropped on the floor and a bottom piece broke off, un-fixable. ***Update, 7.27.25 Another broken one. This is ridiculous. The one I bought 3 months ago when I wrote this review just fell out of the dish drain and the tip broke off. I've tried to glue it back on with nail glue, but it fell off again. These things are great for cleaning teeth, but I can't afford to keep paying $77 for new ones when the parts break off. Mind you, this fell 3 feet unto a padded linoleum floor-- glassware falls from the same place and doesn't break. No matter how well they work for teeth, it's not worth it if they keep breaking. *** Update. 8.11.25 The final breakage--the little door to the water container fell off, just like the last one. Another new on will cost $86--that's $9 more than 16 days ago! ***ANOTHER UPDATE, FROM 2 STARS BACK TO 5 STARS. 8.16.26. Darn it, I don't care if it keeps breaking, it works! I purchased this January 2025. I've enjoyed it as it's easy to use, very effective, I can adjust the speeds. It could use a little larger water capacity because sometimes I have to refill it, but it's perfect size for travel. I knocked it into my sink once and the tip broke off. I was finally able to get it out using a pair of tweezers but be careful that you don't knock it over because you could break off the tip. Used to be I could go on a trip for two weeks without having to charge it. Now, 1 1/2 years later, I have to charge it every other day. Something to consider when purchasing a replacement. It takes about 3 hours to fully charge. I gave her only 3 stars because this is a name brand and I feel like it should last longer than it has. ... show more

recently picked up the Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 Water Flosser and after using it for a few weeks, here’s what I found: ✅ What I love • It’s genuinely cordless and travel-friendly. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 4 weeks per charge according to Waterpik.  • The magnetic USB-A charger is super convenient — I charged it in about 4 hours.  • It includes 3 pressure settings and 4 different tips (classic jet, orthodontic, plaque-seeker etc.), which means I could tailor my flossing depending on whether I had braces, implants, or regular teeth.  • The 360° rotating tip handle is a nice touch — it made reaching the back teeth and around bridges/veneers much easier.  • It’s waterproof and I even used it in the shower without any trouble (great for small bathrooms or busy mornings).  • According to the manufacturer, it removes up to 99.9% of plaque bacteria in treated areas and is clinically proven up to 2× as effective as string floss for gum health.  ⚠️ What to keep in mind • The water reservoir is designed for about 45 seconds of flossing time (from a full tank) — which is decent, but if you like to floss for longer continuously you’ll need to refill mid-session.  • Because it’s cordless and compact, the water pressure and reservoir size are slightly more modest compared to full sized countertop water flossers. I chose the Waterpik over no-named brands that are cheaper because of Waterpik's reputation, experience, and customer service. Having owned several standard, corded models over the years, I wanted a quieter flosser, and one that was quicker and easier to use. This one is definitely quieter! I've only had it for a few days, so this is a preliminary review. Pros: It's easy to fill the reservoir, it's quiet, and it's simple to use - even in the shower. It's comfortable in your hand, as well. For me, the biggest advantage is that it's so easy to use, I'll be flossing with it daily. Nothing to play with - no containers to set up, no cords or hoses. Just open the reservoir cap, fill it, and have at it. Oh, and it takes up much less space! The cons are minor: The reservoir is small, so you only get about 30-40 seconds of use, before you need to refill it. It is not as powerful as a standard Waterpik. Even on the High setting, it still feels a little bit weak to me, but it should still be effective at removing food particles. If you're not used to the regular, corded models, the pressure might be fine for you. The battery takes about 8 hours to charge, and though this model comes with a charging cable, you have to provide your own USB 1.0 amp charger. I haven't had it long enough for it to need a charge yet, so I can't comment on battery life. Overall, the price might be a little on the high side, but if it makes it more convenient (and less noisy) to floss daily, you might just find it worth the extra cost.
