  • Not again
I have ordered several of these ignitors online to repair my rv hot water tank. While this particular one has the correct mount plate and tube length, the nut was too big for the orifice. That's something I rarely get to say. Part numbers said this would work with my unit. But as I mentioned, my unit isn't getting any satisfaction. ... show more

  • Works great, noisy.
Larger flame than the original one. Uses more fuel and directs the heat toward the probe, which will make it more effective and less likely to blow out. Its noise, which is nice because you don't have to look at it to be sure that its on. Required slight modification to install, but was easy enough. I would buy again. Price is right. ... show more

  • Do not use on residential water heater
Low flame and wouldn’t ignite, pipe from igniter to the control valve was smaller then the original. I can’t get a refund either 🤷🏻♂️ Do not use on residential water heater

  • Stopped working 1.5 years
I had to modify this to fit in my water heater properly, which I guess is fine for the price. It's been working, thankfully, for about a year and a half, and now it only stays lit half a day. It's a lot cheaper than buying a new water heater, but I was hoping it would last a bit longer.

  • Two thumbs up!!! Buy it, install it and forget about it.
I needed a new pilot light/thermocouple assembly in a 160K BTU propane heater in my shop. I wasn't 100% certain this would work, but it was so cheap, I thought, "Why not give it a try?" Once it arrived at the house, I had to modify it for my particular installation; I drilled and tapped a hole perpindicular to the location of the factory holes in the mounting bracket. This modification took only a few minutes and once I was finished I hooked it up. It was super-easy to install and it's now been operating continuously for a couple of weeks. I have had zero issues. If you think you need this, buy it! I don't think you will be disappointed. Long-term update: this has been in continuous operation for almost five months with no problems. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Saved me from having to buy a new fire pit
It works great and is worth the money but you should know that it’s noisy and uses a lot of fuel (hence the four instead of five stars). Fine for a fire pit but a little aggressive for a water heater. I was faced with having to buy a new fire pit because of the irregular size of the original pilot line. ... show more

  • Worked like a charm
I have an older water heater and had a pin hole leak in the gas line for the pilot light. This was first detected by a low flame on the pilot light which would not ignite the main burner. This is in a vacation home so the pilot light had been out all winter. Since the water heater was old, I figured I would just replace the entire heater before it started leaking. That is before I ran across this pilot assembly for a very economical price. To make a long story short, I had to do a little re-manufacturing of the mounting bracket but after that, it did what it is suppose to do and worked like a charm. ... show more

  • Easy replacement burner jet.
I broke the aluminum tube while cleaning the blocked jet. The new one came quickly and installed easily.
