I tested this WARRKY HDMI capture card on my Mac, iPad, and Windows PC, and it worked great on the Apple side right out of the box. My Mac recognized it instantly—no drivers needed—and I was able to record clean 1080p video with perfectly synced audio using QuickTime. On my iPad, the MoniCon app turned it into a portable HDMI monitor, which worked flawlessly for live viewing and quick captures. I didn’t dive into video editing or post-processing (that’s not really my thing), but the raw footage looked sharp, stable, and very professional for such an affordable device. The setup was quick and painless—plug it in and go. When testing on Windows 11 through my eGPU’s USB ports, the card was detected but didn’t consistently show a live feed, which seems more related to the eGPU than the capture card itself. Overall, this is a reliable, low-cost capture solution that does exactly what it promises. Perfect for anyone who wants a simple, plug-and-play way to record or display HDMI video on a Mac or iPad without a bunch of setup or software installs.

Yes! Yes! And yes! This is exactly what I was looking for to connect my Switch OLED to my Quest 3. Did some research and I pulled the trigger on this one. Glad I did! Easy set up last night: - Turned on Switch OLED and docked it - vonnected the HDMI cable out from the Switch dock into the HDMI input on the video capture dongle - connected a quality USB C cable from a 30w PD wall adapter into the dongle USB C port - connected the USB C cable from the dongle into my Quest 3 - opened HDMI link app in the Quest 3 And bingo! Quest 3 immediately detected the input, checked a few settings and the Switch home screen appeared inside the virtual screen of the HDMI Link app. Excellent video quality @ 1080p, frame rate was excellent for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, no lag that i noticed, and colors, resolution, smoothness was there! Great audio capture too. This device works as it should. Excellent value for the money too. I had read reviews on the much more expensive el gato card but this one does exactly what i need it for. I used a Power A wired Nintendo switch controller plugged into the dock so no issues there. Also played Super Impossible Road for 20 minutes with no issues like frame rate stutter or lag, glitches etc. These games look awesome on a 100" virtual screen in the Quest 3! I will try Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered this evening and update my review if any issues arise. Bonus: The Quest 3 also was charging while I used it -- thanks to the power delivery from the USB C power adapter plugged into the dongle. The one downside but it's not this video capture dongle's fault is that I tried connecting the dongle USB C plug into my Anker VR P10 earbuds dongle with passthrough power to also have use of my earbuds but the a Switch dock video signal wasn't picked up by the Quest 3. That's due to the limitations of the Anker VR P10 dongle though, not this video capture card dongle. Another nice "feature" I tested was disconnecting the video capture card dongle's USB C cable from the Quest 3 to fiddle with the earbuds dongle, and when I reconnected this video capture dongle i simply had to check the boxes in the open HDMI Link app on the Quest 3 and click connect and it immediately opened up the Switch video again. Hands down an excellent purchase. I will update this if any other long term issues arise. Enjoy!

Works well, 3 things I’d improve for use with a quest 3 1. I wish it was longer. It’s long enough but I don’t have much wiggle room. If it was 3ft longer I would like that because the hdmi and usbc power input would be farther away 2. It gets pretty hot, I understand this kind of is what it is but also since it’s so short I often find it touching my shoulders and arms. 3. When I plug in power the frame rate goes from 60 to 50 max. I’m not sure if this is a me problem but is occurred with both my pc and my switch 2. 50 frames isn’t bad but it certainly isn’t as good as 60. Other than that it works great. I enjoy gaming on it.

I am a part of the testing program for the device and was provided the device for testing, however Warrky had no input in my review. The warrky capture card is a great device. It captured 1080p footage as described no matter the device. However, the 4k 30 capture that is advertised only worked on windows. If you try to capture the footage on a mac via obs, it will max out at 1080p 60. Also, when capturing another computer, the device showed increased latency compared to capturing footage from a game console. The device's power passthrough worked as advertised on a 2019 MacBook pro and a meta quest 2. Overall, this is a great capture device for footage using obs and other recording software. I would recommend this card for someone who wants a card that captures both audio and video with minimal latency at 1080p 60, I do not recommend this card for footage from another computer or if you are aiming to record 4k on macos.
