  • Industrial maintenance professionals tool
I use this tool for pulling long belts through tight passages and it's worth the weight in gold. The unit is not light, and that is probably necessary for how durable this tool is. I have used one before extensively at another jobsite and while you could tell this one had many hours of use it never failed to get the job done Excellent pulling/lifting tool. ... show more

  • Exactly what I needed
I snowplow with a UTV on a mountain road. In very deep snow, the UTV will high center if I am too near the road edge. I bought this winch so that I could pull it out from the rear. There plenty of trees around which I can use as an anchor point. This winch has saved me hours of digging the UTV out from the snowbanks. With two batteries, I always have a back up which has proved useful on rare occasions. ... show more

  • Warn cordless winch
Works perfect! Have been using the winch for directional felling of trees. Plenty of power and a single battery lasts most of the day.

  • Cable is short. Pulling power not as much as I expected
Thought this would be a game changer. Haven't used it as much as it's a little dissapointimg in torque and pull strength. Thought I could use it to pull hog wire out of grass and dirt. It struggled.

  • Don't forget to turn it off before storing it!
The one thing I learned the hard way is that you need to remember to turn the power switch off for storage. Luckily I bought two batteries with mine but its embarrassing to grab it to move something and its dead as a hammer. Over a few weeks of storage the little LED will eat the battery up. However, I've already used this thing for so many different projects and jobs. Its like having a few buddies over but not having them drink all your beer! The overload light does come on a bit sooner than I would have thought, however its nice to not burn up something this expensive, much less in the middle of using it and there you are with a load partially moved or lifted. Its a great tool for one person to use. I HAVE had the gearbox turn backwards though and over-run the internal brake. It was slow and there was a lot of weight on it (1700 lbs vs the 1000 lb rating) so I am not surprised. I DO wish it had some sort of freespool lever. I'm not a fan of burning battery power and adding heat to the system just by powering out and not doing any real work. ... show more

  • Really easy to use for loads around the house
I pulled this 15ft pine tree out of a gully by my house. Worked really well. No over heating and I only used one battery! The 2nd pic is me tackling a massive grapevine in a tree with the winch. Really handy tool

  • Buy an extended warranty!
She broke down after 34 months of use. We only used the winch for loading 2 300 lb bags m-f. Nothing even close to a heavy load or overuse. I wish I would have a bought an extended warranty but isn't that always the case when something breaks prematurely.

  • Works as advertised.
Attached this to the bed of my pickup, using the already there eye hooks so not permanent, to load my mobility scooter into the truck. My wife finds it easy to use. We have the battery powered model.
