Description

The HUB Wireless Receiver allows your to operate your winch using Bluetooth connection on your iOS or Android smart device. The 103945 HUB Receiver is compatible with any contactor-controlled WARN truck winch, including ZEON, VR, VR EVO, and newer Heavyweight and Classic series winch models. This receiver is quick to install and mounts to any tube or flat surface and wiring takes less than 5 minutes on most models. The built-in D-plug connects to the winch just like any wired remote and the 6 ft. (1.8m) long wiring harness allows the receiver to be securely mounted remotely. Features a 100 ft. or more wireless range with a rugged construction with a fully molded housing that offers IP68 waterproof sealing. When paired with the App, this receiver allows the user to control the winch and receive battery voltage feedback. The HUB wireless App can be downloaded for free from the Apple App and Google Play stores. This is designed to work offline and without service using Bluetooth. The layout is optimized for one-handed winch control and offers real time winch feedback displayed on the screen. The built-in help and tutorials allow the user to easily connect their phone to their HUB Receiver. Users can also pair and switch between multiple HUB Receivers.

Being safety-conscious, I've always been a bit nervous about being at the cable length of my wired winch controller as a snapped winch cable under load can whip back and cause bodily damage. I found this WARN 103945 Wireless HUB Receiver and Phone App on Amazon and ordered it because I saw that another reviewer has the same model winch as me. I'm pleased to report that this wireless hub does fit and work with the older XD series WARN winches also. I downloaded the app for my iPhone from the App Store. It was easy to install, easy to pair with the hub, and works perfectly. The app is well thought out in terms of safety features and reliable operation. I'm very pleased that I can stand much further away from the winch when operating it. While the hub is a little pricy, it is well worth the price for the convenience of operating the winch and safety.     • iPhone wireless remote for Warn winch
This is much cheaper than buying batteries for the Warn wireless remote control. iPhone batteries are always working. Can’t say that for the remote control. Warn uses one weird battery. You can’t buy it in a drugstore or a grocery store or a hardware store. Hard to find. This device makes life much easier. It’s right on your phone works perfect!! ... show more

    • You have to unplug it!?
So I got mine today. Everything works so that’s worth 4 stars to me. That said, I have some complaints. First off the original remote for my winch was supposed to be wireless but was recalled. This should have been offered at that time as a replacement but instead I was shipped a wired remote. I also hoped there would be a way to shut off the remote but nope. You have to unplug it from the winch so it doesn’t drain your battery (per the manual). This is less than convenient in my case and just seems like if you want to run this to your engine bay and use your phone as a remote it could at least have an off or sleep mode. 1 star off for lack of effort. ... show more

I actually wasn’t expecting too much because I was a little skeptical since you had to use it in conjunction with an ap on your phone. I was so wrong! I live this thing. It’s super easy to install and use. When not in use you can unhook it from your wench to prevent battery drain. This really came in handy on the Rubicon Trail!! Put this on my 2018 Ram 2500 Powerwagon with factory 12K winch. It works great , took all of 5 minutes to pair up and get working. Now I can wich cable free at least 50 ft away!!
