Update 3/30/20: I used the tree saver to anchor the back of my Jeep to various stumps and the snatch block attached to the front of a very stuck 1 ton, diesel Ram, with a 40' gooseneck trailer behind it. I don't know what more I could have asked for? This kit works great, and has more than paid for itself, a few times over. Original review: I recently got a new-to-me Warn XD9000i on the Jeep. While shopping for recovery accessories, I found this kit, great reviews, at a great price. I figured it'd be good enough for a just-in-case, not expecting to ever really need the snatch block. Little did I know, the first wheeling trip after installing the winch, I'd be putting it and the recovery kit to work. I had a buddy flop on his Toyota on its side, and used the tree saver, snatch block, and D-rings to get him back onto all 4 wheels. Zero complaints, the kit has already paid for itself. If I had one critique, it'd be the lack of a carrying case. I grabbed an AWP 12" Zipper Bag at Lowe's (Item # 552550) on sale for ~$12, it's the perfect size for the recovery kit. Bonus, the outer pockets on the bag are perfect for spare U-joints. ... show more

I’ve had this kit for a year. I’ve used the snatch block 3 different times, then the 4th time it bound up the rope and will no longer work. Thankfully we were not in a tight spot and was just using it to pull a side by side up a trailer this time. It’s not been abused or used improperly. I've used the snatch block as intended and very robust. Also used the strap to move logs. They don't show or tell but they provided some small orage straps that are perfect for the winch connection.

    • HEAVY DUTY!!!
Well worth the price for sure! I use the strap and rings to pull 20+ft. logs off of a pile of timber. Very strong and a must have for any type of recovery!! The snatch block has come in handy as well especially when the logs are wet.

    • Quality offroad kit at a fraction of the price
I picked up this off-road kit with intentions of storing it in the back of my XJ in case of an emergency. I do not do a ton of offroading but there are times that I have got my vehicle stuck in deep snow when out scouting / hunting the pacific northwest. I wanted a kit that would allow me to self-rescue and now have to worry about getting back in cell reception to get help. This kit paired with my Rough Country 9K winch - https://amzn.to/2VL2CpU should allow me to get out of most situations with ease. The quality of the tree saver strap, D Ring Shackles and the snatch block is very good. I would expect to pay twice as much for a kit of this quality. Definitely recommend! ... show more
