Solidly built snatch block. Weighs in at a beefy 8 lbs . It's rope capacity is 3/4", whereas most of my others are 5/8" or less. Grease zerk on the center to keep it lubed. Well worth the cost.

My friend and I used this probably 1-2 days after UPS dropped it off to pull a seriously heavy International flat bed truck with a tow truck winch and it held up as I would expect it to. It had a good amount of strain on it and neither one of the snap rings came off or looked like they may cause a problem in the future like other reviewers were saying. The construction seems to be very solid, and it feels pretty robust in the hand. Here's my main issue with it (not really a big deal and expected): The pulley now has marks and a few minor burs on it from the tow truck's old metal winch cable that will damage the synthetic cable on my off-road winch which is primarily what this snatch block was bought and intended to be used with. I'm sure a few minutes with a file and a piece of sand paper will get rid of the sharp burs though, and I have seen this with many other snatch blocks too. ... show more

I use 3 of these for tree felling. I pull over some very large trees and these blocks are stronger, cheaper and better than any arborist blocks I've come across. They just get the job done. The cables and ropes break long before there's any issue with this equipment.
