I had to drop a dozen beetle kill pines in a day. Biggest was 165 feet high by 3 feet at the base. To minimize peripheral damage, I used these(2), and a 150 foot rope, to steer the fall. I used compound leverage, and had my puller safely out of the way. Worked like a charm. Pulleys are solid, have a grease fitting, and the split plate design makes for super fast roping. No pulling a line through was very nice. I highly recommend these units.
