The heated product must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the power plug or control plug.

The blanket is lightweight and very soft. It’s November in Minnesota and the heat setting of 3 is keeping him warm now. He also loves the 12 hour timer setting. Since he is handicapped, he sits for extended periods of time.

I love this blanket so much and it replaces my space heater which I never liked using. I spend a lot of time in one room working so I do not like to heat the whole house in what AZ calls it’s winter. Heats up fast, highest setting I have used was 7 and that is plenty warm, auto timer is great to have as well. It does get warmer in spots that bunch, so I just move the blanket around every so often to even out the heat. Very soft and warm even if you don’t want to heat it up.

I had been shopping for an electric throw on and off for 2-3 years. I didn't buy one until recently because, from reviews, there seem to be quality issues with throws, much more than with electric blankets. The throw I bought was worse than I expected. I returned it, then I considered returning a second time (the seller shipped a replacement very quickly). According to Wapaneus (seller), the throw "...will get hot on high". The first throw would get barely warm. The second isn't much better. I spread it on hi on the carpet, with a thermometer under a box, and I got 77F after 20 min (vs. an advertised 113F) (the room temp was 65F). Then I checked the throw on hi with an ammeter (between the wall outlet and the throw's plug). The readings were very unsteady, equating to wattages mostly in the 90W-125W range, but as low as 7W. On medium heat the readings were similar, just a bit lower. On low, reading were much lower and swinging wildly. My meter and connections were fine. I think there is something wrong with the throw's controller. The output of the controller seems to be DC, which I think is important for health reason. I'll ascertain that when I have more time. Anyway, DC may have become a standard. Excluding electrical, the throw is luxurious, and seems to be well made. I won't return it (a 2nd time) because it's better than a plain blanket, a different throw may be no better, and the seller responded immediately and already lost money on the deal. 11-16-19 UPDATE: increasing from 2 to 4 stars. I'm getting to like this blanked, and I use it every evening watching TV. It's not as warm as I think it should be, but it does get warm; and if I want it warmer I fold it in two. And if there is a royal blue, the color of this blanket must be royal red.

The media could not be loaded. This blanket is so soft and is a beautiful red color, but there are a few problems with it already and I honestly wish I had purchased the other blanket I was looking at when I decided on this one. The first problem I noticed is that the heating is inconsistent, the part of the blanket closest to where the cord attaches always gets nice and warm while the rest of the blanket is only partially heated and partially not heated in other parts. The wiring also doesn’t stretch across the entire blanket, so there’s a few inches on both sides that aren’t heated too. I’m used to that with other heated blankets though so that’s not that big of a deal, but the inconsistent heat where the wiring is at is definitely annoying. The second issue I’ve noticed (which is much more frustrating) is that the remote control is malfunctioning already. If I accidentally bump into it, it will turn itself off, and it takes several tries to even get it to click back on, let alone to get it up to full heat. Sometimes when I try to turn it on, it will turn on to low with the first click, but then if I hit the button again to turn it up to medium, it will turn itself back off and I have to try again. It can take a few minutes just to get the remote to cooperate and be able to go to high heat without turning itself back off. As you can see in the video, it took a total of 33 clicks to get the remote to go to high! I just hope it’s not shorting out or something potentially dangerous—for this reason, I won’t trust the 4-hour shutoff and I always unplug it before I go to bed just to be safe. For the look and feel, I like this blanket, but I really don’t like that I’m already having problems with it before the first winter season with it is over. I hoped this was a BIFL purchase but unfortunately, it’s not. Update: my rating has been lowered to one star now since I can no longer get the blanket to reach the high setting anymore whatsoever, even after literally HUNDREDS of clicks on the remote at a time. Haven’t heard a single thing from customer service regarding my defective product either, would’ve been nice to get a replacement or return for the issue. The whole reason I bought this blanket was to use HIGH heat to warm my permanently cold feet up at night. I’d be better off just putting a blanket into the dryer to heat up for 5 minutes than using this now. Thanks for selling me a low quality defective product and not even having the decency to respond to your reviews!

Wasn't the flannel I thought it was ! It's more like velvet , I was expecting flannel with that being said ... I am completely happy with this blanket , it's soft velvet makes it cozy and nothing clings to it , easy to keep clean !

And it’s soft. But it does not warm quickly. Also, the foot pocket it on the opposite side of the cord. The cord will be closer to your neck instead of near the bottom of the blanket. I have it three stars because the quality and weight of the blanket is really nice. I’m not a fan of the low functionality of the heat nor the cord laying closer to my neck.
