For such a large piece, the assembly was so easy. The directions were easy to follow and it all went together with a snap. This was a surprisingly sturdy investment and I love the espresso color. It's a small detail but I also love that they included stickers to cover up the holes for the shelves that aren't being used. It really makes a difference so the eye isn't drawn to them. First off, after I finished building, the piece looks great. The package came looking like it fell off the truck. Tons of tape over holes and styrofoam busting out of every corner. Luckily nothing was damaged but it made a complete mess unpacking it. The directions were very clear, although there were some holes missing that I either drilled myself or skipped. Luckily it was nothing structurally integral that I was able to keep going. It’s not like this is going to be moved a lot or carry a ton of weight. I built it myself in about an hour. It is just the style I was looking for so I am very happy with it. I would recommend it to others with the warnings I previously mentioned. The stand is a bit harder to assemble than initially thought. But when done it’s a very attractive piece for a living room. There are ample holes in back to being in cords and cables. It looks very nice and seems totally sturdy so far. It’s a keeper
