  • Beautiful and Budget Friendly
Color: Walnut Size: Queen Style: Bed Frame
I just finished assembling the bed so I can’t speak on long term durability just yet. However, I decided to buy this bed after thoroughly combing through all the beds Amazon has available in this style. I will say that so far I am pleased with the stability and look of this bed. I am happy with my purchase and would buy again based on my experience so far. Below I am going to give my honest assessment for others who may be on the fence about purchasing due to the limited information from previous purchasers reviews. This was purchased for my master bedroom and I am a single female. The reason I mention that is because this bed has a 500 lb weight limit and that includes the weight of the mattress. I feel like the construction of the side rails where the slats rest leaves much to be desired. It is just a small 1x1 (if that) strip that is screwed to the side rail every 12 inches or so. I included a picture of it because I feel like this could be a fatal flaw for the bed if it exceeds the weight limit (ie. if a couple is sleeping on this bed). When it arrived, the box it came in was pretty seriously damaged and there were a few very slightly damaged pieces but to me it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning because those parts are covered when the bedding is on the bed. As far as assembly goes, it wasn’t any better or worse than one can expect from a flat pack type of bed. I did it by myself, with the help of my four year old son to slow me down, and it took about 3.5 hours. I was really skeptical of how sturdy this bed would be while assembling it but once the slats were screwed into place is actually much better than I anticipated. I would definitely recommend having a power drill and some small drill bits because there are no pilot holes for the slats and I think that adding them yourself is worth the time in the long run. The bed heavily relies on the slats to provide support structure so you don’t want to risk any splitting of boards by skipping this step. I also wanted to mention that this bed claims to be made from “real wood” and it most definitely is but then again, so is paper. It’s real wood in the same way that ikea furniture is real wood (pine, if I’m not mistaken). There are parts that the finish is kind of “bubbling” and the boards dent really easily. Once again though, as of now it is not noticeable with bedding on and the finish actually looks very beautiful and natural. All that being said, once the mattress and bedding was all put on, the bed is very sturdy and I love the way it looks. My pictures show what it looks like with a 13 inch mattress. I hope this helps with your decision! ... show more

  • Not For Everyone... Not Even Close
Color: Caramel Size: Queen Style: Bed Frame
The first thing I noticed upon delivery was that the box was misshapen, beat to heck, and had limited plastic wrap around the crushed edges. Some of the pieces inside were slightly damaged cosmetically from shipping. For the weight of the product there needs to be better packaging to survive shipping. Second, this bed will never be able to be moved out of the room you assemble it in. There are 117 SCREWS required, 23 nut and half moon works, and two small metal plates. The slats that hold up the bed alone require 56 screws alone and that's the finishing step. Some of these screws will not be straight... it's doable once but certainly not something meant to be broken down, moved, and reassembled which is terrible because people tend to move residences on occasion or generally need the flexibility to break down large furniture. Second, if the person who would be assembling this bed frame has sausage fingers don't even bother buying as there are 24 connecting points that require you to slide a screw end into a 1.25" circle in the adjoining piece, fit a half moon metal piece around the end sitting inside the circle, and then tighten down the half moon piece on the screw using a nut. I have small but long fingers and I still wound up tearing up my cuticles and had to use a screwdriver to lift the screw end off of the recessed wood it attached into with a screwdriver so that there was enough clearance to fit the nut in and tighten it with the provided wrench for about 20% of these connectors. Third, it would be beneficial to do this with two people as the instructions recommend but I can tell you a slightly resourceful person can do it own their own (two small boxes to hold the side rails level during assembly. The instructions are easy to read but the components themselves are hard to read. As in there aren't always tiny pre-drilled holes to tell you where things should screw in for everything to be lined up. All in all, I was able to assemble the bed by myself in just under three hours (which is way too long, but man, 117 screws!), but I would absolutely not have bought this product had I known how complex assembly was and how my hands would be tied to move the bed in the future. Should've bought a Thuma ... show more

East to put together for one person. Arrived in great consider. Directions very easy. I’ve had for 3 years. Doesn’t squeak. Durable. Lasted through a move. Would buy again.

  • assembly time/sturdiness
Color: Caramel Size: Queen Style: Bed Frame
The wood color is exactly as it appears and matches my set perfectly. It is solid wood no veneers. Assembly was very time consuming (6 hours) and some of the metal screw receivers, which were factory set, were angled and made the assembly difficult. However, once assembled it was very sturdy. I did not like the 4 feet that run in the middle of the bed for support as they are stained but not finished and the front one shows. My last comment is the slats show on either side of the boxspring I placed on it. Seems the base id a bit wide. All in All we are keeping the bed and are happy with the look. ... show more

  • Lasted One Year
It is beautiful and nice. Until today, when my 14yo son hopped on his bed and it snapped at the top side of the frame and fell to the floor. Not sure why this happened, but now his mattress is on the floor and we are on the hunt for a new bedframe.

  • Faulty product
Color: Caramel Size: Queen Style: Bed Frame
There were so many initial issues when getting this. First they didn’t have it delivered on time because it was damaged during shipment (due to poor packaging technique). Then the packaging was damaged when I did get it the next time. Parts were missing when I got it. Now because of the missing part the other parts of the bed is breaking and falling apart & it’s a nightmare. Customer service wasn’t helpful either. I really regret getting this. Looks good but not sustainable—- I’m only 140lbs ... show more
