The reviews for this table are not the best, but the table is. If you've never assembled furniture before, this might be a challenge. So, for the neophytes: Assemble it on the box top. It will fit. Get a folding chair or something that's easy to move. Find the little white box with the screws - you'll have to get the whole table out of the box to see them. Each bag has exactly what you need for each assembly operation. There are instructions in the box that are worth going over. First you need to put the table top together using the two boards that tie the two halves together. Next you'll put on the four legs. All screws will go in easily. If they don't, don't force them. Take enough apart so that you can screw them in without assembling anything, just to prove to yourself that they work. When it's all together. if you have anyone to help, tip it over on its feet. If not, you can do it yourself - I did. Just make sure that you don't get trapped under it, and that you have plenty of room. I turned mine up in my kitchen right from the box top where I assembled it. It was very handy to have an electric screw driver. Made things go much faster. I'm old, so I went slow, and it took me 1 hr. 18 min. to open the box, get everything out, and put together, and then to turn the table over. I had to have the correct Allen wrench bit, but thankfully I already had it. Be sure to hand tighten everything once your done - hopefully before you turn the table over. I couldn't get chairs from Amazon for this table, but Bed, Bath, and Beyond have some that fold up and look nice for a decent price.

My first impression upon completion of assembling this set is how absolutely gorgeous it looks -- it's simple, yet elegant, and will truly match any style! Secondly, I was impressed with how STURDY this set is. So many wood sets tend to be flimsy, but this one is insanely solid. We have two boys who are both terrors, so we needed something that wouldn't break easily, and this was perfect. The only part of assembly that was a problem was assembling the leaf/extender side supports on the long-sides of the table. The way the directions show you how to assemble this part is completely confusing, and we ended up flip-flopping two of the pieces. However, it was easily fixed, and honestly the table would have been fine had we left it that way -- we just wouldn't have been able to "un-extend" it :) My only warning about this set is you MUST be dedicated to maintaining the wood. The top review on here shows a photo of the table "looking a decade old" -- this is a completely unfair review -- it looks that way because the buyer was lazy didn't oil it as you're told to both in the description of this listing and in the directions when you get the table. If you're not going to follow through on maintaining items, don't buy them. Otherwise, if you're willing to do the maintenance (it's honestly not hard to oil something once every three months), this is solid investment at an amazing price! :) Highly recommended, and would absolutely purchase from this brand again.

The media could not be loaded. This table is perfect for what I was looking for! I live in Colorado and it’s snowing so I assembled it in my house this morning. I will put it outside this weekend, I am waiting for the teak oil to come so I can protect it from the elements. The size of the table is perfect, I definitely recommend this table!

I was looking for a table that wasn’t huge in size but also affordable because a lot of tables out there were a bit expensive for me. So glad I took a chance & ordered this one. Assembly was okay, some of the bolts wouldn’t go all way in & one didn’t go in at all but it all worked out. Would definitely recommend regardless. I’m going to order the matching bench to go on the other side.

Beautiful color, easy to assemble, made out of real wood. It was the best deal that I found on a table and was not disappointed with the price and quality. Comfortably sits six around the table with 2 on each long sides and 1 at each end.

Easy to assemble. I was looking for a very long table and found that they were $1500 to $2000, so I bought two of these and put them side by side and I now have a super long table that also has flexibility to separate for $400. I am going to put some marine grade varnish on them so that they will hold up. Should las five years or so.
