Overall we are pleased with the table. Pros: It's attractive, quite heavy, and the leaf mechanism works really well. We feel it's a good value. Cons: I could do without the manufactured "distressed" edge - it's clear it was done on purpose and doesn't add to the table, however, it doesn't necessarily take away the attractiveness either. My wife doesn't seem to have an issue with it, I just think it would look better without it. It's pretty stable when it's closed, but you definitely don't want to be leaning too heavy on the ends when the leaf is in place. Assembly was not bad, but like several other reviews - there are no mounts or even predrilled holes for the legs to attach. There are some hand drawn marks where you align the legs, but it's up to you where you screw them down. There really should be imbedded mounts that accept a bolt vs simple screws. Three of the sixteen screws stripped out easily also. There are eight per leg so it's still secure, but for a table this heavy it should really have better mounting for the legs. My biggest complaint is actually with the packaging: we ended up with three commercial size garbage bags full of non-recyclable styrofoam. It's unconscionable in this era to produce so much one-time use waste.

Chairs very well made. Very sturdy. I’m 87 and put both chairs together by myself in under 2 hours(took several breaks). My only issue is that the seats need to have holes drilled to fasten them down. I don’t have a drill and if I did I would not want to risk doing it wrong. So I need to wait until my son comes (he lives 3 hours away) to do it for me. That is an issue for me Would like to use my dining room chairs as soon as possible For that I took away one star

I love this bench. The wood is beautiful. It was easy to assemble. Very sturdy and looks wonderful with nice dining table. I wish there was a way to contact the company and get the missing wooden buttons for the side of the legs.

We bought two to see if we liked them. First off, the packaging and assembly was excellent, well thought out, clearly marked and labeled. They even included extra hardware just in case, and put it in a separate bag so it wasn't confusing. Chairs were easy to assemble and were very solid. They look great, so we bought four more. Extremely pleased with all aspects.

Pretty darn solid and heavy, I love it ! Without opening up the leaf it is small but creates more room if you have a open concept home, which I love. Easy to put together and does not feel cheap at all.

I love my new dining table! The installation was easy (but definitely requires 2 people). I scheduled a delivery to my place and it showed up early. I love the quality of the wood and it feels so well made. The butterfly built into the table is what sold me. I live in a smaller apartment and it fits perfect, extended or not. This color is a deep black but you can see the grain in the wood so it doesn’t feel “heavy” looking. Planning on buying the matching chairs soon!
