  • Simple and Effective
The craftsmanship is really nice, and the blades are very sharp. They don't work on bigger stems, but they are very precise. I keep mine clean each time they get used, so I haven't experienced any issues with rust. Just be careful how you're holding them when you go to use them. If you don't have your hand in the right spot, it's easy to get pinched. ... show more

The flat grind is perfect, polishing is perfect and the tool is very sharp. The spring and cutting action is very nice. This is over all a Beautiful tool. It came in a nice decorated cardboard box. In side you have what looks like a warranty card and inspection card(both in Japanese). There is a light weight leather blade cover. ... show more

  • Professional gardener, best pruners
I garden for a living and these pruners saved my hands during fall perennial cutbacks. So sharp and really easy to sharpen. The spring is not too stiff so it closes very easy, but springs back open nicely. The craftsmanship is amazing.

  • Not for serious work
Great looking. Very good craftman craftsmanship. Lite. Comfortable in the hand. They are not for serious and big work in the orchard. I am engaged in the production of plums whose cuttings require cutting and slightly thicker branches (over 1/2 inch). For one working day, I do even thousands of cuts. So far I have done this work with scissors KUKER art.72 (double CUT). Soke Hidehis scissors attracted me favorable reviews of people who represent themselves as professionals ... The disadvantages are as follows: 1. It takes an excessive force to cut the thick branches (2 to 3 times than the model I mentioned, or Felco 30, which I also have). 2. After crossing the branch, there is a strong impact that is transferred to the fist and causes pain. - Shock absorber is absolutely necessary. 3. I tried to use them in a young plantation, when forming a crown of young trees. For a precise and clean cut, they require putting in an ideal position and angle in relation to the branch, which takes up too much time. Otherwise, it happened that a portion of the bark on the branch remained poorly cut. In the end, the scissors proved to be excellent for bragging among colleagues (samurai steel, no sharpening, excellent sound when cutting ...) I recommend for people who decorate ornamental grass on the garden, 2 or 3 fruit trees behind the house, but not for 24-7 work in a serious fruit plant. ... show more

  • Unbelievably amazing!
Someone might say to themselves... "Why spend so much on a pair of pruning shears?" Well let me tell you... The average person is conditioned to spend $10 on a pair of shears. But then what happens... They break in less than a year or so. Stop buying garbage products. Get these. This is an excellent product. I have two peach trees, a few apple trees and these make pruning my trees a joy. No blisters. No struggling. No problems at all. These things are built like a tank. They slice like butter! Totally worth the money. Japanese tools are superior! ... show more

Beautiful product, very different for $5-$10 models you get at the local hardware stores. Ships from Japan so there is some waiting period but its very much worth it. Came in a nice box something akin to jewelry but its certainly not a piece of jewelry. Very solidly built and sharp, cuts with extreme ease. Nice tension. Looks like will last years. At to of the line price wise but I am very happy to have bought it. ... show more

  • Exceptional!
When buying a tool online, without prior experience with the manufacturer, I rely on photos. In the photo I saw, consistent reveals where parts join, milled hardware specific to the tool, and the clincher a polished bevel on the blade. I received the bypass shears today. The build quality is as good as it can get. The materials are cast , ground , and fitted perfectly. Every pair I have owned prior to these pale in comparison. I am extremally grateful to people who take the time to excel in their craft . Thank you to the masters who made my tool. ... show more
