Started cutting my own hair during the pandemic wilth a battery operated trimmer. This has more power and, unlike than my old cutter, has an adjustable blade lever. Haircuts now take 1/2 to 1/3 the time as before. The diagonal guards make trimming around the ears a whole lot easier. The cord getting in the way has not been a problem. I think this would make a good gift. I’m using it and happy. I’ve used a wahl before and no surprises here. Guards seem sturdy and seem like they will last. A little bin oil oil included for blades. Fabric/polyester case typical for a dip kit. Cord is about 4/5 ft. Might think of extension cord if you are cutting your own hair, could run out of leeway. With my hair, I’ve got to cut the same place multiple times to get good evenness. ... show more
