I purchased the strap based on the many positive reviews. After ordering, though, I realized that 90% of the reviews were by Vine Reviewers (and seemingly AI-generated), with many of those showing Amazon's "Vine Customer Review of Free Product" indicator. Interestingly, some of those free recipients state in their review that they *purchased* the strap ... draw your own conclusions. That said, I've been using the strap for a couple of days and I've come to the conclusion that, assuming it continues to perform as it has so far, it's a decent value. Pros: Comfort is good even for extended periods; the ratcheting knob easy to adjust to an appropriate tension. I have a very large head, and it opens up enough to easily don the headset and adjust as needed. The rear cushion does an excellent job of cradling the back of the head and distributing the pressure. The top strap is padded too, but I'm not sure that really adds much. The hook-and-loop ends on it don't offer a lot of adjustment, although it seems to be adequate for my purposes. Battery operation and life appear to be quite good. When I plugged the strap into a charger for the first time, it indicated a 75% charge and reached full charge within an hour at most. I've used the strap for 2-3 hours at a stretch and the Quest's battery meter has never dropped below 97%, with the headset's indicator light continuing to indicate a full charge. The 4-bar indicator lights on the strap's battery pack have not yet dropped below 3 bars (75%). There's a button next to the strap's battery meter that has an on/off symbol on it, but I've tried a variety of long/short/double presses and it doesn't really seem to do anything. Pass-through charging works as hoped with the Quest's supplied charger (the head strap does not come with its own charger, although the manual oddly recommends using the strap's "supplied" charger). Cons: The side hinges do not seem to be designed to keep the headset comfortably perched out of the way when you need to interact with the "real world." I found that it was simply more practical to remove the quest/strap assembly when doing something that needed direct view rather than through pass-through mode. Like most battery-equipped head straps, it's not really an option to sit back comfortably in an easy chair; the bracket and battery will keep your head tilted forward at an uncomfortable angle. This is *not* a strike against this particular model, though; the issue is far from unique among battery head straps. Conclusion: With most alternatives going for nearly twice the price, this is a good value. Like most of my reviews, I will be back to update this one with any findings that change my mind, positively or not.

The product information states it has a 6000mah battery. The box it comes in also states that. However the user manual states two batteries "with a combined charge of 3000mah". I fully charged the headstrap and attached it to my quest 3. I played for about and hour and a half and it was fully drained. I have a battery pack i had been using that was 5000mah. Usually I'd get 2-3 hours with that pack. Compared to that pack I'd say the user manual is probably correct stating it has only a 3000mah charge. The weight at the back offsets the weight of the quest 3 on the front of your head. Overall it's a good product, but I feel they false advertise that the battery is larger than it is. I still feel like it's a decent headstrap for the price. If I see an increase in play time over the hour in a half I got the first use, I will update this review. ***Update*** So I've used it at least ten times now and I timed three uses. After about an hour the battery back is fully drained, each use that I timed it is usually fully drained around an hour. Tonight I played for two hours and the battery was dead and my headset at 71%. There is no way this pack would allow a total of six hours play time. I did play four hours one day and the battery pack was dead, and the headset at 20%. Do not expect this pack to give you a long day of play time. Considering what I paid for this battery pack($40), I feel beyond ripped off.

The headstrap is very comfortable, I have been using it since Jan 2024. The cushion on the back of the head is not firmly affixed and can pop off but is easily snapped into place. My issue is with the battery - It is no longer holding charge like it used to. Within 45 minutes it is drained (used to be MUCH better) and since the battery is part of the headset, there is no method to swap it out. Really NOT a bad strap, but be aware of what you are purchasing.
