This affordable baby monitor is the best. The picture quality is great, it tells the room temperature, it has 5 lullabies that only play for an hour (which is perfect, music doesn’t need to play all night.) You can control the volume of the lullaby playing off the camera and separately control the monitor volume. Trust me most other baby monitors don’t even do that. You can turn the monitor screen off without actually shutting down the monitor. Battery life is about 5 consistent hours (I just keep it plugged next to my bed at night) It has 2 way talking and adjustable brightness.     • Nice simple camera with good picture

Purchased this as a secondary monitor to use while we camp in our travel trailer. Needed something with long range and good connection as we are usually camping with family and aren’t always at our own site. The range is great- no issue with connectivity even if we’re in a different trailer a few sites away. Previously we used our other Vtech but had lots of connectivity issues because it would keep trying to connect to the campgrounds spotty wifi so this non-wifi monitor was a must. Picture quality is great, nice and clear. Black and white night vision. It’s very bright even on the night mode and the dimmest setting. But my other Vtech is just as bright. The monitor itself is small but serves its purpose. Some cons: the camera is not a pan and tilt camera. So you have to manually adjust the camera if you want to change the angle. Also, not able to zoom in. Secondly, the sound doesn’t block out background noise. So I can hear his sound machine and the AC vent fan in our camper in the background. Still can hear my baby clearly without any issues but just comparing to my Vtech at home that does block out the background sounds. And lastly, I wish the power cable for the camera was a bit longer. We have the camera touching the ceiling and I still can’t see the entire pack n play that he sleeps in and the cord just reaches. Might be problematic if you’re trying to visualize a full size crib as you’d need to put the camera even higher. Not the end of the world though as you could use an extension cord I suppose. Overall the price is great and no issues with the camera so far. We’ve used it for 5 days/nights. Great for a secondary camera and I still prefer my Vtech RM7766 ... show more

I’ve had this camera for about six months, great battery life, long range, and durable. The other day I knocked the receiver portion off a 15’ tall patio railing where it bounced off a rock and landed in a 2’ deep water feature. The monitor disconnected from the camera when it was in the bottom of the pond, fearing the worst, as soon as I fished it out it reconnected! I took the screen apart and put it in rice over night to make sure everything was dry, everything is now dried out and is working perfectly! Definitely a worst case scenario, but this is a pretty bulletproof little camera and monitor set. No unnecessary features, no WiFi signal to lose, great battery life, durable! ... show more

Used this brand for my son 5 years ago and using them again now. Perfect monitor if you don't want one that connects to wifi. They have a good range and good battery life. Picture is really clear and pick up the tiniest of sounds and movements.

I waited 9 months before writing this review. This monitor has exceeded my expectations. This would have easily cost much more several years ago before Wi-Fi monitors hit the scene. I did not want a Wi-Fi monitor. The V-tech is simple, easy to use with great quality. I’ve travelled with it and the set up is straight forward. If this monitor ends up breaking in the future I will buy this exact one again. The only thing I don’t love is the brightness. Even on the lowest setting the monitor is bright when turned on. I set the screen to be on black mode while I sleep but will the screen on to see the baby if I hear him. Highly recommend as it gets the job done. ... show more
