I love this little monitor! It works really well, picks up on the smallest noises and is so portable making it great for traveling or simply bringing it to someone else’s house. We see my parents multiple times in the summer and this is the best thing to bring. Range is also really good. The whole monitor is cute, lullaby music plays really well, I love that there’s a timer so it doesn’t run all night or have to turn it off ourselves. Its nightlight feature is relatively dim which is good and bad at the same time because while it’s great to have a little light it’s really not much unless the room is super dark. The only downside I would give it would be that the receiver runs out of battery quicker than I would’ve hoped but it’s not that big of a deal to plug the cord In. I highly recommend this cute guy to anyone looking for a sound only monitor with different features. ... show more

    • Lifesaver when wifi goes out
Our wifi went out one night so our Nanit was basically worthless. We didn't know until the morning when we woke up surprised we slept through the whole night (we have no idea if our baby did as well given the lack of connection). We immediately bought an audio monitor (not this one), which had crazy loud background noise coming through so we returned it and ordered this one and it is amazing. No background, we hear him as if he were in the room with us but only when he is crying or whining. The only MINOR complaint is that the battery life when not plugged in is not great. ... show more

We had the Ikea monitors for 8 years before they died, mostly with the help of our two year old jamming things into the charge port. I bought these hoping they'd be as good or better than the Ikea ones. They work fine. I'm not sure they go the same distance the other ones could reach, but it's close. The sound is great and they're constantly on, which is better than the Ikea ones which went on and off every few seconds, probably to save power. Which brings me to the most annoying part: they don't last very long without needing a charge. For the most part this isn't an issue. We use it mostly in the bedroom when the baby is sleeping. But, for the times that we need it mobile, it doesn't last very long. Perhaps it's long enough for one or two use/naps, but we could go weeks on the old Ikea unit's charge. This is a cheaper monitor, but the white noise and monitor have been great for naps. We like to use this monitor when we are traveling out of town because it's so portable. I wouldn't use it as my only monitor (we have a video monitor at home), but it definitely fills a need and we have used it every day since buying!     • Love the idea, but the quality didn't live up
I was so excited to get this 3-in-1 for travel! I loved the idea of combining our sound machine, night light option, & monitor so we didn't have to travel with more things. Unfortunately, the baby unit doesn't last a full night without being plugged in constantly. That alone isn't such an issue, but the button for the sound is very difficult to use. You have to press it about 10 times for it to turn on. The unit also came with 2 power cords which looks IDENTICAL...so I only packed one for travel thinking they'd given you a backup. Nope. Not the case. The baby & parent unit need these separate chargers (ugh) and they are just the slightest bit different in size. Overall, not a good option for us & we are returning. We'll be going back to our regular travel sound machine & figuring out a different monitor solution. ... show more

It’s a decent baby monitor, range is good, white noise and lullabies is a nice to have. What this is lacking is white noise filtering on the receiver end, it essentially plays back all the white noise the baby unit produces. This shouldn’t be too hard to filter out. Bought this for travel, but we use it at home now too. The music quality is much better than other options I have seen/heard, and the music shutoff timer is a fantastic feature. The sound is also not delayed relative to the other monitor we had.
