Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
The monitors are being used to listen in on an elderly family member. He is able to call for assistant vs screaming at the top of his lungs. It’s definitely a stress reliever.

Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
We use this over a monitor. I kept finding myself constantly looking over at the monitor to see how baby was doing. Having the monitor just built up unnecessary anxiety. The sound speakers work best for us. When we hear baby crying or stirring then we go and turn on the monitor. They have good sound quality and a very reliable. ... show more

  • Baby Monitors
Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
I bought these after my elderly father had major surgery. I put one in his room and the other in my room. I could sleep peacefully knowing that if he needed me, I could go running to his room. They are wonderful. I could hear his every move, which at times, was unwanted. I could hear him talking on the phone, playing pool on his cell phone, singing, etc…!!!! However, these monitors are great. I took one with me everywhere I went in the house. I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a sound!!! ... show more

  • Weak batteries
Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
The media could not be loaded. The battery life is not great! I’m pretty good with DIY battery changing I do a lot of stuff with lithium ion battery chargers and battery stacks. so I decided to swap out the two crappy nickel metal hydride batteries that were already in it and replace them with two that I know we’re good. The lifespan of the receiver is considerably longer with the newer batteries and higher capacity. I’m also guessing that since these are becoming more difficult to actually buy on Amazon that they may be switching over to their newer version. If you know how to change these batteries it’s definitely a good receiver to buy. As I said I can do this and not everybody can, and these receivers have a more than double almost, triple battery life now with newer high capacity batteries! UPDATE. 11may 2023 I installed new 2800mAh batteries in place of the 450mAh originals. I can run one for 24 hours before it yells at me to put it on the charger. We are going over 1 year with this. Still the only weak point, the batteries! Otherwise, they are fantastic! ... show more

  • Great cheap option
Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
There’s a few things I don’t love about this monitor, but the biggest—it’s so light weight they easily topple over, especially when plugged into the charger. I wish they weighed more. I also don’t like when I turn the volume completely down—when I’m leaving my bed to take care of the baby so my husband doesn’t wake up—it makes a loud beep noise. ... show more

  • For the parents who keep it simple
Style: Audio Monitor with 2 Parent Unit
This is a reliable classic baby monitor. I tried fancier monitors, had an AngelCare that sent my anxiety through the roof, and looked at the video ones but was put off by the low security and hacking. So I decided to kick it old school and just get a simple audio only radio monitor. And it’s all you need, I swear! Once they’re old enough to be out of your bedroom, they’ll cry a certain loud way to wake you up when they want you, and you just need something to get that noise from their room to yours. I bought one 4 years ago for my first child, and I bought a second one for my second child because I wasn’t quite ready to give up having one in the preschoolers room when she’s sick. It’s cheap enough that this is an affordable luxury to the cash strapped parent, and the sound quality got better in four years, which is nice. Two parent units is the right number of monitors in my experience. When they move into the nursery, I keep one unit in the parent bedroom and one unit plugged in on my desk most of the time, and then if you need to go work in another room it’s simple to just unplug it and put it on your waistband with the slide-clip. ... show more
