Our Great Dane puppy, Luna, is VERY vocal at night and has LOTS of energy (even tho we play and take her on nightly walks!!) She also gets SUPER excited when we get visitors and it's hard to control her from jumping up or bumping into people. (She's very strong even at 11mths old and weighs over 100lbs). We tried to train her with treats alone, but she needed a little something extra to help redirect her focus. We did NOT want to do a shock collar but saw that this collar has a "Beep" feature, "Vibrate" feature, AND a "Shock" feature. The reviews were good so we bought it. OH MY GOSH!!! This collar works like a CHARM!!! We have NEVER used the shock feature even once. The beep feature usually does the trick to redirect and help her focus on the task. Sometimes we need to use a small vibration to redirect if she is just super excited about someone coming over or when outside in the front yard. LOVE that you can adjust how strong the vibration or shock will be also! Our pup just needs a little vibration to redirect her focus :) And she's hilarious trying to figure out where that came from! :) haha SOOOO IMPRESSED with this collar! It seriously has it all! We LOVE the remote bc it is so easy to use. Luna will hear us press the button to "wake it up" and she stops and pays attention :) hahaha! Also, the battery for the collar and remote hold a charge for a very long time! We used it constantly for over 2 weeks before we needed to recharge the remote. We never leave it on her, just for training purposes. She learned really fast and I LOVE that the beep was pretty much all she needed to redirect her focus and train her to stay calm and obey. Now, she's so used to it that when we put it ON her neck, she is calm and focused. It's such a great training tool to have! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this collar to anyone who needs an amazing training device that gives several different options.

Our Golden Retriever is in that pure anarchy and hilarity stage where he's dangerously fast, gets the zoomies all the time, and loves protecting the property. Sometimes he runs down to the creek and disappears from our sightline so these collars help get him back to the house. In the house, he parkours off my wife and I, leaving us in pain and laughing because he can't help control his excitement. My huevos have paid dearly. But a quick beep and he's back to his normal self. If that doesn't work, a little static goes a long way. Our old one - which we lost the remote for - was always either not making contact or up way too high and he would scream in pain. This one gives you two prong sets in the box so pick the one that will work best for your sized pup. A smaller dog or shorthaired, the short prongs work best. The long prongs are perfect for fluffy dogs. The static itself won't jolt the dog but you can tell he's feeling it as his calm demeaner sets in. The remote is where this unit really shines. It displays battery strength for the remote AND the collar. Which is great so you know when it's time to charge rather than find out the hard way when the dog is off in the woods somewhere and not responding. The remote also will trigger the collar out of it's 'sleep' mode so you don't have to go and hit the button on the dog every time. I only whish there were some grippy rubber material somewhere on it so it doesn't slip out of your hand, but a little skateboard tape can fix that. Overall, this unit does it's job well. I do wish there was another sit of prongs that are a little longer and the static power went up a few more notches for those times when he's unresponsive at the max setting.

Our puppy Sarge is a Husky/Shephard mix, 8 months old. We live on a farm and just got him and were not informed he "plays too hard with cats". This collar was a last resort. We have never used one before. The fur around his neck is like a Husky's, thick (two layers) so were tried the longer electrodes first. They ended up just tilting the box crooked and losing contact with his skin. So we switched out to the smaller ones. It seemed to shock him maybe once out of every dozen times. The vibration/beep worked great. Yes, we thought maybe it wasn't working correctly, so on low power, my husband held it and it was working. Finally, I came up with either shaving a small spot on his neck or getting the place on his neck where the electrodes are on his skin wet and that's what we went with instead of shaving, and it worked every time. So if you have a Husky or a dog with the two-layer fur, you will have to wet the fur or shave a bit for the shock to work. Otherwise, we recommend it. Great battery life, does what it advertises and looks very nice. Great product.

Easy to get on and off, very adjustable. Seems to be well performing and of excellent quality. Battery life is great. Charges fairly quickly and a must have for training animals.

My young male boxer sometimes has a mind of his own and this collar is perfect for him. It isn't that he is a disobedient animal, he just gets distracted and doesn't respond to voice commands. When we first started with this collar, I used the electrical option once or twice a day. Now, the vibration is enough to get his attention and he is a completely different dog. No more run-aways and most of the time, he responds to voice commands the first time. If he doesn't respond, a gentle attention getter with the vibration is enough for him to respond. On thing I had a problem with is he has a very short coat and even the short prongs were too tall and the box would turn, minimizing the prong contact. I cut the prongs down to what you see in the picture and sanded them smooth. Perfect contact and the box doesn't turn any more. Finally, Vsezund customer service is second to none! Emails are promptly answered and they are more than helpful in solving any issues you may have. If you are having trouble getting your dog's attention, I highly recommend this option.
