I mounted the VOTATU V848 Laser Light Combo (Green/IR Laser + 1700LM Flashlight/IR Illuminator) on my Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol, and I’m genuinely impressed. This thing punches way above its price class — it feels like a much more expensive unit in both performance and build quality. The 1700 lumen white light is bright and has a great throw with a usable spill. The green laser is crisp and easy to pick up, and having both IR laser and IR illuminator gives me excellent night vision compatibility. What really stands out is how well it handles recoil — it has held zero through plenty of 12ga rapid fire with zero issues. The M-Lok mount is rock solid and the whole unit feels extremely durable. Controls are intuitive, the battery life is solid, and the aluminum body has a premium feel. For the money, this is one of the best light/laser combos I’ve tried on a shotgun. Pros: -Extremely bright 1700LM flashlight with good beam pattern -Crisp green laser + IR laser/illuminator options -Holds zero through heavy 12ga rapid fire like a champ -Solid, well-built mount and housing -Includes remote pressure pad with both M-Lok and picatinny mounting options -Outstanding value — punches way above its price Cons: -None so far. IR LIGHT WORKS WITH NIGHT VISION!! Amazing price for what you get. I have NVG50 Digital Night Vision Monocular tested the IR and it works flawlessly! Green laser is bright and perfect White light led is also high lumens. Each function has a strobe option! I was skeptical because of price but it 100% has blown me away. I put on ar with Mlok and it’s incredible sturdy, laser has held zero for over 400 rounds, mounted super easily, flashlight and laser both incredible powerful. Touch pad works great! I can’t say enough good things about this light laser combo. I love the magnetic charging, battery life is great. IR setting work incredibly well. This product is an excellent choice for IR and VL the build quality is excellent all metal no plastic! The weight feels really good as well everything worked out the box the mounting was super easy came with everything for a normal rail mount and M lock mount! Adjusting it to the rail was super easy aswell. Charging is super easy. The only issues I have seen is it slightly moves on the rail after it is mounted now I’m not to worried about this because I’m not planning on using long distance, I have yet to shoot with the laser on so I have yet to know if it holds zero while shooting! ... show more

This thing is.... Insane for the price. I'm genuinely shocked at how well built it is, as well as how powerful the laser and flashlight shines. It's magnetic charger is intuitive and non long term heavy duty use, being rechargeable is a big boon. It has a solid weight to it, not too heavy not too light to feel cheap. The switch is a little on the cheap side but functions well enough for what it is. The value is in the unit itself. It offers true Night Vision (IR) capability and blinding white light for roughly $100—a feature set that usually costs triple that price. Quick Verdict: The "Budget Night Vision" KingBest For: Budget night vision setups (pairing with a PVS-14 or digital NV), Airsoft Milsim, and 5.56/.223 range rifles. Avoid If: You require a field-replaceable battery (this has a built-in rechargeable one) or need "duty-grade" IR illumination for targets beyond 150+ yards. Durability & PowerRecoil Rated: Reviews and tests show it holds zero well on 5.56 AR-15s and even 12-gauge shotguns. It has an aluminum housing and is IPX6 water-resistant. Charging: It uses a magnetic USB charger. While convenient, the battery is internal and non-replaceable. If it dies in the field, you cannot just swap in a fresh CR123A; you have to plug it in to a power bank. Smart Design & Usability OLED Display: This is a killer feature. Compact and robust. Very bright light. Laser holds zero so far. Votatu's customer service is phenomenally responsive via email. I didn't have any issues, but I wanted to know more about the internals. Specifically, I wanted to know if the PCB boards were "potted". Potted means they'd be coated in resin or encased in silicon to help them hold up to vibration and recoil. After some back and forth over email so they could understand my question, they sent me an image showing that the PCB boards are indeed coated in a thin layer of resin to help them withstand recoil. THIS IS A BIG DEAL FOR A BUDGET LIGHT/LASER! More of these companies need to advertise this. While it's not as much resin as you might find on a Streamlight or Surefire board, it's enough to drastically improve the durability of this hardware. This really increases the value proposition of these things. And the very responsive customer support increases that value proposition even more. Would I use this on a duty weapon? No. Not yet. But would I confident in it in a pinch? Hell yeah. Certainly more so than I would be with other budget brands. The picture shown shows the thin layer of resin. Installation took about 20 minutes. The light arrived with a full battery so I was able to immediately start training with it. The durability of this thing is incredible! It’s all solid metal. The lasers and lights are all very bright and clear. I would recommend getting this type of laser/light over the military grade ones in the $400 price range. The Mlok system on this is decent, it takes a bit of trial and error with regards to the right screw to use, but after that it’s solid. I plan on equipping all of my rifles with one of these. Some features that I noticed when I started playing around with the optic- holding the power button down will keep the light on until you release it. One click on will turn the optic on, one click to turn it off. 2 clicks on will cause a strobe effect for all modes- that part is definitely the coolest feature! ... show more
