I bought this Vortex to allow me better indirect cooking on my 22" Weber grill. I realize I could have paid half as much through an Asian competitor, but what sold me was the thickness of the GENUINE Vortex and the way the seams were joined together. My first cook with the Vortex was baked potatoes and Teriyaki wings. My wings came out skin crispy and meat juicy and the baked Potatoes nice and fluffy. I thought this device was gimmicky “for years” now. Finally tried one with an Amazon gift card I had, money found I guess, drank the kool-aide, I am definitely a believer now. It just “works” wonders on chicken, wings and thighs especially, haven’t tried the ribs yet but will soon.
