We purchased a few kits plus add on lights for our front and backyard. If you are thinking about wired landscape lighting…these are definitely worth the price. Let me break it down for you: Quality: Yes, the build quality of these lights are not plastic. They are full metal, heavy duty and seem like they will last quite a while (except the stake portion and housing for the hub). The transformer is also housed in a metal box and isn’t too big or bulky. It’s basically plug and play. The lights themselves are pretty bright, and the 2700k color is perfect for landscape. All of the color temperature of the bulbs match perfectly. I do know that if you purchase some cheaper LED lights, their color temperature can vary. Not a big deal for most people, but that would definitely bother me. I used them more like wash lights by positioning them farther away to light an entire section rather than a spot on a single tree. You can even adjust the spill with the little top cap. Ease of install: Yes, you can purchase a much cheaper pack of 20 landscape lights elsewhere, but one of the best things about these lights are that each light already has a really long wire for you. The cheaper alternatives out there only leave a short amount of wire, which requires you to purchase additional wire plus clips and it’s just more complicated and adds more time to install. The more you poke holes to extend a wire, the more you risk water coming in. I don’t want to deal with having to dig the wires up if that happens. They do give you a big spool of extra wire for the hub placement which is great. The kit also comes with a wire cutter/stripper and zip ties. Didn’t really need to get any extra things to install these. Side note: I did purchase a different brand of well lights that I was able to plug into the same hub. Just make sure your voltage doesn’t overload everything. Also, each light is connected to a main hub. These lights aren’t daisy chained together like some other landscaping lights. You’d need to map out where you want to place your lights first, and also find an appropriate place to hide each hub. ... show more
