I was nervous about solar lights but we needed them. They are bright and the right warm color we needed to light the stairwell. We already had accent lights but before these our stairs were really dark. We placed these on multiple stairs around our house. Inside the garage, on the front steps and in two other areas in the back. These inside ones are struggling because they don’t get direct sunlight but the garage still get good enough light to recharge them enough. The outside ones are on point and we have had so many compliments. This really makes our house look great. No regrets. Some say they were deteriorating after a few month but I’m totally fine with replacing them in a year if I have to, because they just look so great. However they are under my railing and I don’t think I will have issues with them until they are in direct weathering based on what I read. If you’re on the fence: Just buy them. You’re gonna like what you get. We really did have little faith in these but it looks great and they are reliably functional. ... show more

These require a lot of sun, if you have partial shade,they won't be bright and they won't last long. We ended up giving ours to our MIL for her front steps because her house faces south and gets full sun. They work great and keep her steps illuminated all night.

I like the design of these. It is almost November in the PNW and they get enough charge to last through the night. Be careful with the installation. There is a detent that locks the screw top in place once you slide the unit onto the screw and the only way to get it off again is to pull really hard. Make sure the screw is properly placed. But one thing I like is that they give you a little plastic template that you place where you want the light and it shows you where to put the screw. Very thoughtful design! These little lights work very well to illuminate our front stairs. They are smaller than I expected, but they are very bright and do the job! I just placed them on the steps, no mounting required. They worked out of the box.

These lights are awesome! My neighbors love them too. They are very bright and really accentuate our outside steps. We did not mount them to anything. We just have them laying on the steps and they have stayed pretty much in place even with high winds. They do come with mounting tape and screws. My steps are stained concrete so did not want to take a chance to mar them by applying tape to the finish. I’m very happy with these and will probably order more for my back steps. ... show more
