Very comfortable. My 6year old daughter says it's really comfortable and hasn't complained of any pain from sleeping. It is firm but squidgy at the same time, thanks to the memory foam and soft material on top. Great value for a quality item.

It arrived compressed in a box and took about 24-48 hours to fully expand. The medium-firm feel offers a nice balance—not too hard, not too soft. The gel-infused memory foam does help with cooling, though if you run hot at night, you might still want a breathable mattress protector. It provides decent pressure relief, especially for back and side sleepers, but heavier individuals might find it a bit too thin. I've used mail-order mattresses before. Generally they come heavily vacuum-packed and rolled up in a box - you unroll them, cut away the plastic shrink-wrapping, and then let them expand overnight before use. This one is kind of like that, except there are two separate parts that both need to be unsealed and expanded - the main body of the mattress, and then a separate foam pad. This pad ends up inside a zippered compartment on one side of the main mattress, so the end result looks and acts more or less like a single mattress. And it really is a very comfortable mattress! It's something in between a memory-foam mattress and a traditional one. You don't sink as far down into it as a memory foam mattress would, but you sink further than with a traditional design. I'd consider it to be medium-soft - it isn't a really super firm mattress, but definitely within a normal mattress range. Since it doesn't have any internal structural elements like springs, it will be heavily affected by the surface you place it on. For instance, is it flat on a plywood board? Suspended across a number of wooden slats in the bedframe? Sitting on top of a box-spring from your old mattress? Lying on an arrangement of metal springs like camp bunkbeds have? All these would make a big difference in the feel, far more than most mattresses because this one is structurally much more flexible. Anyway, I think this mattress offers excellent value. Personally I like a very firm mattress so it wouldn't be my own choice for my every-night bed, but this is for a guest bed, and I know many people prefer softer mattresses anyway. ... show more

This is a wonderful cheap mattress that's great for kids but also suitable for adults. Its super comfy especially when used in conjunction with another mattress. After trying various types of mattresses and being a strict side sleeper I was skeptical yet optimistic when I bought the VOJ Twin Size Mattress. Much to my surprise, it went beyond the expectation in every possible way and thereby made me sure about the comfort similar to cloud. This mattress is encased in rich gel memory foam material, which I would say is ideal medium firmness and I get wrapped in softness every time I sleep. That is why pressure relief is one of its most highlighted functionalities.
