We bought another brand of woodstove fan last year, and it worked fine. We are planning to install a new woodstove, and got this VODA Wood Stove Fan in advance of purchasing the stove. Tried this out on our existing woodstove and it is a remarkable improvement over the other one. Not any real difference in price (maybe $10?), but this puts out a lot more air and makes less noise. I've seen these fans around and until I saw one at my sister's on her wood stove, I had no idea how efficient they are. These take off on their own fairly quickly. They require very little maintenance and really help move warm air out into the room. It works on simple physics. Voda has harnessed those laws and made them work to everyone's advantage in an easy and very quiet way. This isn't going to move off my pellet stove all winter, spring, and fall! Doesn't take up a lot of real estate, so still room for the steamer on top. Solid price compared to what I saw in the box store! I'd recommend this quiet fan to anyone with a wood or pellet stove.
