  • Wonderful air circulation with no electricity
Color: Black
I bought this fan to use with my gas heat stove. It's designed to sit on top of or hang above the stove to move the warm air out to the room. It does a wonderful job circulating the warm air all around my large living room. Best feature is that when the power goes out, I still have a fan. I did have to build a bracket out of a piece of flat bar, because my stove is designed to not get very hot on top. The bracket supports the fan directly above the door and it looks like it's part of the stove. It works so well, I'm buying another fan to increase the circulation. Having the fan directly in front of the stove was too much temptation for my 4 year old grandson. He had to test it, and we learned that while it makes a very sharp sound, it does not draw blood if a child sticks his finger into it. The fan stopped instantly and neither the fan not the finger were damaged. Bumping the fan can make the blades out of balance, so I've had to fiddle with them a few times over the two years I've used the fan. When the blades are balanced correctly, the fan spins almost silently. If one blade is a little out, the fan chatters a bit. It's not objectionable and pretty easily fixed. ... show more

  • Very optimal for what it is
Color: Black
It is very quiet. It moves warm air as efficiently as possible for its technology. It may or may not help in your particular situation; it helps the most if you want to a circular pattern of airflow within a room. I have owned 3 of these style fans. The first one was much noisier. The last 2 are of this brand/model. They come packed in most clever and optimal cardboard packaging to prevent damage to the delicate blades. They have been almost silent in operation. I currently run 2 on a relatively large cast iron stove. The addition of a second one helps promote the circular airflow pattern but does not double the effect. I have experimented with both a sequential and parallel pattern. [edit] If I could give this product a sixth star for the premium protective origami cardboard packaging it comes in, without any plastic, I would. [/edit] ... show more

  • It moves air
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I seen a video someone posted of a burning cig to show that the fan doesn’t move air. I’m not sure if the fan was defective or the stove wasn’t up to temp. These are not made to move mass amounts of air like box and stand fans. You won’t feel it from across the room or even 5 foot away. These simply disrupt the straight up flow and help push heat away from the heater. We love ours and can actually tell a difference since putting it on the wood heater. It’s super quite and starts running at a low temp, it speeds up at higher temps. Or at least it looks like it does. ... show more

  • Product works well
Color: Black
I was hesitant to buy this as the reviews basically said opposite things. One would say “works great! Blows air really well!” And the others would say “doesn’t blow at all. It’s terrible” But I decided to take a chance on it and buy it. First off, let me say, both reviews are kind of right. It doesn’t really “blow” the air all that well in terms of being able to feel wind blowing around. However, it starts spinning quickly and I noticed a huge difference in the heat being spread across the house as opposed to centralized around the wood stove. You can’t really feel it, but it does work. The only real downside, which are probably just my specific use case is that the ends of my house that were further from the wood burning stove were slightly colder as the new heat distribution caused our central heat to kick off as the thermometer is near the wood burning stove. :P luckily, we have small portable electric heaters on either end of the house that help keep the far spaces a bit warmer. All in all, this product worked really well in spreading the heat around our house more, but you won’t really feel the “blowing” of the fan unless you’re really close to it. ... show more

  • it works
Color: Gold
it works very well. it has seen some real use and i can say it has not gave the first problem. just know it doesn’t blow like an electric fan, it does move air at a slower speed. will continue to use.

  • Keep looking...this isn't it.
Color: Black
I was extremely disappointed with the VODA 4-Blade Heat Powered Stove Fan. Despite its claim of increasing heat output by 80%, I saw no noticeable difference in warmth in my home. Additionally, the fan burnt up after just one season of use, which was a major letdown considering the investment. Not only did it fail to deliver on its promised performance, but it also proved to be unreliable and short-lived. Furthermore, the noise it produced while in operation was irritating and disruptive, making it an unpleasant addition to my living space. Overall, I would not recommend this stove fan to others based on its lackluster performance, poor durability, and noisy operation. ... show more

  • It works!
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. It's bigger than I thought it would be, but it works. The fab is quiet and it sounds pretty darn fast once it gets going. Not a huge amount of airflow, but you can feel the hot air more at waist height from the ground and the amount of heat escaping straight up is considerably less with a very scientific hand over the heater test. It will be a little while to determine the longevity of the fan, but 1st impressions are pretty nice. Might look for something a little smaller for portability, but grabbed a buddy heater bag and it will fit everything and a couple of 1lb propane bottles at the same time - good enough. ... show more

  • 2 have stopped working
Color: Black
I have ordered Four of these over the last 2 years. Two have stopped working. Looks like the motor is still good. That means it has to be the thermocouple , or a solder joint. Anyone else have this issue. Just want to get them back up and running again. One fan did not make much of a difference. Works good in a small space (RV Toy Hauler) But not so good in my 15 x 30 Living room. Two works good. A friend tried one and didn't like it so now I have three. Very Nice!!!!! I really appreciate these on those snowy nights when the power goes out!!! ... show more
