This review is for the VOCIC brand ‘Wheelchair For Adults Lightweight Portable Folding Wheelchair’. I only have experience with cheap, used basic wheelchairs with the absolute minimum of features (think folding footrests being the most advanced feature). This one is far better than anything I have experience with. The wheelchair is a big enough for me to sit down in reasonable comfort (I’m the largest one in my circle of friends and family. The chair folds flat to a little over 11 inches wide, so it can be stored under a bed or in a closet, and should fit inside most cars with little trouble so long as they have a back seat or decent sized trunk. There is also a brake on the handle that is a massive help in controlling the wheelchair on ramps and sloped areas. Overall, the chair is well made and stable; everything that should move does with a minimum of trouble and effort. This chair is very nice considering the price. Five stars when compared to other similar chairs I have experience with.

this wheelchair feels solid and well built while still being manageable to handle and transport. the frame is sturdy and gives a sense of stability, especially when moving over uneven surfaces. the rear wheels roll smoothly, and the front wheels turn easily, making it simple to maneuver indoors or outside. the folding design is a big plus. it collapses quickly and doesn’t take up much space when stored, which makes it easier to load into a car. switching between independent use and being pushed by someone else works well, offering flexibility depending on the situation. the braking system and added safety details provide extra peace of mind. the seat is comfortable enough for extended use, and the flip-back armrests and foldable footrests make getting in and out easier. for the features and overall build quality, it feels like a good value. it offers stability, safety, and convenience in one package without being overly complicated to set up or use.

I got this so that I could have two wheelchairs, one in each of two location to avoid taking a single wheelchair back and forth every day. Our other wheelchair is similar to this one and has worked well for us. This one however, has several features that our other one does not. The first is that the handles that the attendant would use to push it fold down making it more compact when it is folded up. The other feature which is really nice is the dual brake system. It has the standard locking brakes that can be reached by the person in the chair. These are the type of brakes that are standard on most wheelchairs. The other are hand brakes on the handles used for pushing the chair. These come in very handy if you are pushing someone in the chair as you are going down a hill. These brakes allow you to control the speed. Other features on the chair are pretty standard . It does have removable foot rests that can fold up or swing out of the way . The tires are solid and not pneumatic so you don't have to worry about flats . It is easy to fold up and unfold for transporting. It has built in lightweight nylon strap with a plastic buckle like you see on backpacks that you can use as a seat belt if you desire. It was easy to assemble and required no tools. As far as the weight goes, it is not super heavy and is easily manageable but weighs about the same as our other wheelchair. I have definitely seen lighter manual wheelchairs so I don't consider this one particularly lightweight. Overall, it is very well built, sturdy and rolls along very smoothly. Overall, this chair has worked out very well for us and we are pretty happy with it. My philosophy is that, for a rating system to be effective, the highest rating and the lowest rating should be reserved for a relatively small percentage of the best and the worst products. I DON'T take into consideration prices or issues with shipping. I stick to a fair and honest evaluation of the product itself. Following is each of the five categories of *stars* and how I assign them to a product: ***** Five stars - Exceeded my expectations. I really love it! **** Four stars - Met my expectations. I like it and recommend it. *** Three stars - Average- some pros but some notable cons. ** Two stars - Disappointed- few pros and too many cons. * One star - Terrible! Stay away from it! I don't often give five stars for something unless I really love it, and I rarely give one star. Hopefully this helps you to understand why I gave my star rating to this product. This wheelchair is easy to propel, it is light weight, and very sturdy. The wheels allow for a smooth ride, and the handles are comfortable to hold if you are pushing your loved one around. The arm rests are comfortable and are positioned properly. not too high to cause shoulder pain. The seat itself could use a bit more cushioning, but that's what a good chair pad does. For what is provided, is a sturdy seat, and allows you to sit supported and comfortably. The fabric material is very strong and fairly tear proof. We really appreciate the built in pouch to put documents from the doctors' visits in. The pouch fastens smoothly. The foot pedals are easy to fold up, as well as the chair itself. It folds fairly flat for storage and fits in our truck bed perfectly, for in between visits and use. The design on the chair is shark, and high contrast. One of my favorite features is the handle brake, which comes in handy when going on a decline, or steep sidewalk. Gives us added security and we feel safer knowing that it is there. A great wheel chair and price.
