  • Loving this strong quality battery!!!
I had struggled for a long time w/ a good recomended battery from a name brand sporting goods store. It did fine w/ my small Minn Kota 30# thrust trolling motor on my little 2 man 10’ Bass Hound boat that was well over loaded w/ stuff. But when I added a Minn Kota 55# EnduraMax to the back it just couldn’t hold up to the load and for the time I needed. So did a whole lot of educating myself about all aspects and characteristics of deep cycle batteries. Looked at every brand possible & read all I cud about them & all the reviews for each. Since I don’t have a regular gas boat motor w/ electric start I found out I didn’t want a battery that was necessarily rated for cranking amps (CA) or cold cranking amps (CCA) nor should anyone else that’s not going to be using their deep cycle battery to assist w/ cranking. Need a TRUE Deep Cycle battery. So in all my research I found maybe 2 or 3 that I considered as possibilities to meet my needs. I think any of those few would have been good options but I settled on this based on price, specs and great reviews. It has made all the difference! And I’ve just recently replaced my worn out 30# w/ a new 40# thrust Minn Kota EnduraMax. Went out the other day for first time since replacement. We were out for at least 5 hrs & this battery is doing a superb job handling both the 40# & 50# and I was shocked when I put in on the charger and it was showing it still had a 95% charge!!! WHAAAT?? 😁👍 Not always using both at same time but always moving & do use both when running longer distances or trying to maneuver together or to move both ends of boat away from bank simultaneously, etc. Arrived on time & in fine condition. Well protected. * Found out later that VMAX makes this same battery (slight difference in model #) that has a higher amp hour rating like maybe 110 vs 100 which I must have overlooked. U can research & verify but I think it might have been bigger & heavier & w/ the price difference I was still satisfied and happy w/ my purchase bc I really couldn’t afford any more weight, size or cost. And this one is working well beyond my expectations. ... show more

  • Great Product
Just got back from Canada using this battery mated to a 55 pound thrust Minn Kota trolling motor on a 12' Aluminum boat. used the boat motor to get us to a point on the lake to fish and used the trolling motor about 6 hours per day. Recharged every other day with a 10 amp Minn Kota charger with the Battery falling below half charge only once. This is an AGM Deep Cycle Battery so more expensive however is a must for Trolling motors. Other batteries are lead acid, recommended to be replaced every 3 to 5 years and do not hold charge. This Battery is totally sealed and has a ten year life expectancy. Recommend you pay somewhat more for the VMAX AGM battery and have no regrets! ... show more

  • Strong battery! Possible charging issues?
Pros: It last a very long time out on the lake trolling. Con: Its very heavy! (Which should be expected in the first place.) I used this battery once so far. I drained it to empty before I switch to my back up battery. When I got home I tried to charge it with my Minn Kota charger. The charger kept cutting itself off LONG BEFORE CHARGING WAS COMPLETED. The issue end up being the battery not the charger. I was told by the seller of the battery that amps was drained to low for the charger. They suggested I don’t completely drain the battery during usage. In order for me to charge the battery the seller recommended I jump the battery with my car in order to get that amperage to a certain level in order for my Minnkota charger to take over. This I tried and it worked. I hope this isn’t going to be the case every time I need to charge my battery. I will give you all an up date next time I use this battery? ... show more

  • Very nice battery
I bought two of these batteries and hooked them up in series for my 86Ib thrust trolling motor, it worked excellent!!!! Se pictures with batteries in series and duel charger on them. Dealer on amazon tried to sell me a $1000 24volt battery. He said two 12 volts in series wouldn't work for trolling, wrong!!! I trolled around for 4 hours, batteries went for 26.4 volts to 24.2 volts, it didnt even pahse these batteries. It cranked my 86Ib thrust trolling motor with authority. The duel battery charger has a AGM setting so it keeps it maintained, that charger is a must also. ... show more

  • Power to spare
I absolutely love this battery so far. It's heavy at 69lbs. But this thing is efficient.

  • Great Battery for 55 amp 12 volt trolling motor
I received the battery as scheduled and as per other comments it arrived in outstanding condition. The box was heavy duty and double layered. Let me say it need to be. This battery is heavy. As others have said it weighs 70 lbs. After mounting the battery under my center console I had the opportunity to fish the flats during peak current flow . The battery had plenty of power to hold anchor position and troll along the mangrove islands for 3 to 4 hours of constant use. I was amazed when I charged the battery that the usage had only drained the battery down to 90 to 95 percent charged mark. I am using a motorguide xi3 55 amp 12 v with gps module. So far I am very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Be sure to check if using for sump pump
Purchased Aug2020, ~5years ago, for backup 12v sump pump. It has not been actively used over 5 years, just left on Wayne (pump) maintenance charger. At a recent test it could no longer the run pump for 20sec. Battery tester confirmed, 0% SOH, 60CCA, 53m Ohms. A little disappointed it didn’t last longer. ... show more
