  • Easy Setup and would recommend
Style: 36-in Pattern Name: Wireless Subwoofer Size: 5.1
I replaced my old surround sound system (had speaker wire) with this system. I'll say that my old system sounded a little better, but that one started to cut out every now and then. For the price the sound is still really good for this system though. I wasn't expecting a top notch sound system, and I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this is a good affordable sound system for sure. The setup was extremely easy as well. I also like that the only speaker wire needed is from the small speakers to the sub, which should be located close to each other. Below are the pros and cons for me. I would recommend this system for somebody that is interested in surround sound and doesn't want to run speaker wire, and don't want to spend money on the high priced systems. If you already have speaker wire ran and setup, and can afford a more expensive system I would go that route. Pros: 1) Very easy and quick setup. 2) Not having speaker wire running every where. 3) The speaker wire from the small speakers to the sub is fairly long allowing placement of those a little ways away. 4) The remote is simple, almost too simple, but nice to be able to control everything from it. 5) At first I was worried that the sub couldn't produce enough bass watching shows. It must've just been those shows though because a few others have come on and the bass was great. 6) I like the "night time" option that cuts the sub level down. 7) The price is affordable. 8) There are all types of ways to connect the sound bar to your tv. We actually have the two HDMI ports on the tv in use with a satellite box and a roku device. I was able to use the optical cable. I love that they have so many options to connect to your tv which makes it so universal. Cons: 1) If you want to mount the small speakers it comes with mounting brackets but no screws to mount the brackets to the wall. Same thing for mounting the soundbar. 2) The speaker wire from the small speakers to the sub is long. I mounted my speakers not far from the sub, so I ended up with quite a bit of left over speaker wire to roll up and try to hide. 3) To me the sound quality isn't as good as my old wired system, but you trade having to run/hide speaker wire for very little speaker wire. 4) It was delivered in a huge box, but the actual size of the product is about 1/4 of the shipping box size. 5) There was tape on everything! You will need a knife to get this thing unboxed because there is a whole lot of tape holding things together. ... show more

  • Great inexpensive Sound bar with surround sound.
Style: 36-in Pattern Name: Wireless Subwoofer Size: 5.1
I'm not a person who knows alot about technology. Having said that I was ready to spend up to 1000.00 dollars. The ones I read reviews on that checked all the boxes were 500.00 to 800.00 dollars. This was late December and the two I'd picked were out of stock for weeks. I kept looking and researching my is hearing bad so I needed to get this done. I was on the web and saw a gentleman had done a review of top ten sound bars under 1000.00. I read his reviews his #1 picked was the Vizio for 199.00. I continued to read the reviews and in his opinion this one was his choice. Upon looking at Amazon reviews this unit had over 4 stars with 22000 reviews. Not two shabby. So I decided to go for if it isn't good I can return it or simply replace it. I've been very pleased with the sound quality the volume and clarity. The surround sound is good. Is it up to the level of Bose and other more expensive units probably not. I've listened to thousands of hours on music being a professional driver. Television was never an option. So I feel I have a good sense of what should make the regular person happy without breaking the bank. I hope this helps anyone not needing the most unbelievable sound system. Good luck finding a good system. I'm happy and would definitely purchase this again. ... show more

  • Sounds great after adjusting the sub woofer level and placement. One negative
Style: 24-in Pattern Name: Wireless Subwoofer Size: 2.1
I have never owned a sound bar so I only compare this purchase to my LG TV's sound. A huge improvement! My set up is a Fire TV Cube (2nd gen) connected to my TV via a non-HDMI ARC port, and then the TV connected to the sound bar (I bought the 24 inch model due to having a small TV stand) via the HDMI ARC port on the TV. At first we had the sub woofer in the back of the room by where we sit. The sound from the sub made it tough to hear the dialogue (even when setting the bar to dialogue mode) from the soundbar, which is located right under the TV. To solve this issue, we moved the sub location to behind the TV and turned down its volume via the remote. Plus we turned down the Bass a hair as well. All personal preference, but this fixed our issue. Now to the one downside. To change the TV input, such as between HDMI 1 and the antenna, we would speak to the Fire Cube and say "Change input to antenna". This no longer works. The Fire Cube says that it recognizes the command but nothing happens. My guess is that having the sound bar hooked up to TV via the HDMI ARC port is messing up how the TV reacts to this request. Other than that, the Fire Cube remote works flawlessly to control the Cube, the TV and the volume of the soundbar. ... show more

  • good performance based on the price range
Style: 30-in Pattern Name: Wireless Subwoofer Size: 2.1
Although it doesn't have some of the latest features that other new soundbars have, it adds up the okay quality sound to my TV and video game. I think it was a good purchase decision based on the price I paid. Only two cons that I wish this soundbar should had is 1) HDMI in ( only support opt-in ) 2) No display status for the current choice. You have to figure out what's current sound config or volume based on those 4~5 small LEDs, even volume. At least it tells what's the current sound mode ( cinema, music, etc etc ) Same as other latest soundbars, the bass is a separate module and wireless connection to the main soundbar. And it's pre-wired each other so you don't need to do any Bluetooth pairing or similar things. Just plug the power and the bass module works. If your TV speaker isn't great so you'd like to do something with it, but don't want to spend too much for it either ( and don't need 5.1 channel+ ones ), this will be a great option. ... show more
