The sound is amazing, especially for a $148 soundbar that includes an HDMI cable, optical cable, and wall mounting brackets! I replaced a $600+ Sony soundbar with the Vizio. The Sony never sounded half as good as this Vizio! Set-up was a breeze. From opening the box and running all the cables in my system took about 40 minutes. The only problem I had was adjusting the sound settings using the remote. Here's the secret: use the up/down, left/right on the UNMARKED CIRCULAR WHEEL on the remote! I kept trying to adjust the settings using the +/- buttons (only used for volume). The instructions are not clear. It says to use the left/right arrows. THERE ARE NO LEFT/RIGHT ARROWS! The remote wheel (around the OK BUTTON) is totally unmarked except for 4 raised dots at the north/south/east/west positions. That's what you have to use. I haven't tried bluetooth pairing yet, so I can't comment on that. I did use online chat support to figure out my remote control issue, and it was quite good. The sound for the price/features cannot be beaten! Don't hesitate to give it a try. You won't regret it! ... show more

45 years of television radio, and film under my belt and specializing in Audio I’m very picky about the gear that I buy… After taking about 30 days to snoop what’s out there to purchase I came to this sound bar because of the surprising other reviews made by Other Audio professionals. I give this sound bar subwoofer combination five stars because of the balanced sound you get from this set up… Other professionals have also rated it pretty high and that’s what Drew me to this… The M series is a better series by Vizio and this unit would be perfect for Somebody moving into a dorm room... smaller apartment or your bedroom.... or like me a small living room…simple set up.... Vizio packed the features into the set up and what makes it even better is the fact that you get even fine-tuning adjustments giving to you concerning trouble base subwoofer and dialogue. I was looking to upgrade the sound bar I had for the past eight years and I am very satisfied with what I bought. AMAZON : WHEN THE BOX IT COMES IN IS VERY BILLBOARD SIGN LIKE ....A Porch pirate can only be seconds away from taking it home..."STEAL ME!!!"....put it in a plain box AMAZON. ... show more

It is a great sound system, so nothing against it. It looks like it was lost in shipping and took an extra week to get and the box was roughed up some. It was packaged from the factory for just such abuse and held up fine.

Easy to connect. I had a reciever type surround sound system that after 25 years quit. I didn’t want to deal with all the wires and expense again. So I purchased this system and I don’t miss the other system at all! Great sound from this sound bar and perfect bass from subwoofer

I've seen a few Dolby Atmos blu-ray discs with this soundbar system, and it packs a good punch! Perfect for living room or small basement. Has a nice depth to the bass and the EQualizer settings are a very nice touch. I typically like the treble a bit higher than the bass so the bass doesn't overwhelm. Updated: The issues were mostly my sub placement and tv configuration. If you have a Sony, adjust sound output to auto 1 and set hdmi ports to “enhanced”. Recommend. Original: For this price, the sound bar and sub woofer combo is great. I got this mainly for the Earc capabilities and it works with my new Sony TV wonderfully. Just plug the Earc HDMI connection into your TV and you’re good to go with no programming necessary. Your tv remote will automatically control the Soundbar. Out the box, the sound bar sounds OK, but I do notice some bass echoing in some applications. I had an older Vizio sound bar with a subwoofer and never had this issue. I’m going to try to adjust the settings to see if I can get rid of it and will update its review if I can. The dialogue is crystal clear but the bass a find a bit distorted. Also, I’m not sure sure whether it relates to a tv setting or the actual Soundbar, but sometimes when I turn on the tv the Soundbar initiates but no sound is emitted. Still, at this price point for Earc access, can’t be beat. ... show more
