Love this! Leaves me feeling more comfortable knowing my girls are safe at night! Directions were a little confusing at first, but once we got it we were impressed! Make sure the solar panel gets a lot of sunlight or it will not open or close!

    • Junk. Clearly not for outdoors!
Well, the solar panel housing is not waterproof. Evidently it is made to catch sun only in environments that never experience rain. After a few rains, the solar panel housing (which contains the battery) was completely filled with rain water & it no longer works. Clearly this should be waterproof as the only place to put a solar panel is in direct sun…which means it is at some point going to be exposed to rain! Of course I am now beyond the return period…maybe Amazon and/or this seller will do the right thing and refund my money for this complete piece of garbage! ... show more

Everything that comes from China has really poor instructions and so does this item but it works except for the remote control that doesn't work plus it works as a timer and has a sensor for dusk and Dawn but I'm not sure if Dawn works yet but dusk does work the chickens are in before the door closes. The timer I'm not sure even how to set the clock for the timer because there are no instructions for it but again it's from China so you can expect very good instructions. I have some American made things that are junk as well usually the instructions are better. It's not about quality anymore it's about money and profits shame I remember when quality used to be important but not anymore. ... show more

Iv have purchased 2 other doors they were waist of money this one is the best installed it set times that I want door to open & close its bin month it works grait opens in am close pm every time great door highly recommend to purchase

    • Looks nice but sensor failed in less then 2 months
This was my second attempt of having an automatic door for my chickens. First one has the plastic piece that went up and one of the chickens landed on it and kinda messed up the door, so I bought this one with the roll up door and remote. Worked great for a little over a month, then the it stopped opening automatically. Tried to find a support but it went to Amazon and they said it’s outside the return window and couldn’t do anything. Not sure what else is out there as this did look nice, but internal components must have been cheaply made or something. ... show more

Before every morning and afternoon I would have to close/open their door now this door does it for me. Chickens fit easily and just big enough for my duck. when chickens left out it's very convenient with the remote control.

    • Doesn't work for long
At first it worked properly, opened at sun up and closed at sun down. But after two months it quit opening at sun up. It still will manually open or close and will close at sun down. It's inconvenient to have an automated door that I need to go open every morning.
